About 2 1/2 weeks ago I stayed at The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans for The Niche Mommy Conference. I knew that with that powerful combination, the conference could only be class act event. Fortunately due to sponsors of the vent like Huggies & Time to Play, I had won a scholarship that would allow me to stay at the conference hotel while attending the 4 day/3 night event. Once arriving at The Roosevelt, you can instantly feel the beauty & splendor of the historic hotel. People like Continue Reading
The Niche Mommy Conference: Audubon Zoo, New Orleans #Nola
Going to the Niche Mommy Conference was one of the best blogging decision I made. Aside from forming new friendships and the blogging tools & techniques I learned at the event, I enjoyed other bloggers having the full New Orleans Experience. The architecture, the music, and of course the food!! I did not meet once person that was experiencing a bad time in New Orleans. In fact, I was full of pride when many bloggers would tell me how much they were enjoying what New Orleans had to offer Continue Reading
Wordless Wednesday- Sibling Support
Not the best picture, but it is priceless in my eyes! While spending a few days without power due to hurricane Isaac, my children were sleeping on their mattress in the living room as we slept with a generator on. To conserve the little bit of cool air we had, we all slept in the living room. The evening this picture was taken, our power had finally been restored. But since we originally promised my son a birthday sleepover this very evening (prior to Hurricane Issac affecting our area), my Continue Reading
COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation & Pressed Powder Review
Although I am in my early thirties, my skin is something I take care of religiously. I am not a heavy makeup wearer, but I understand how makeup can make a huge difference in covering up discoloration, fine lines & wrinkles. Right now, I am not so concerned about fine lines & wrinkles just yet, but skin discoloration is very important to me. I have olive skin (I'm Latina) so discoloration can make finding a perfect foundation match a little trickier. I recently had the opportunity to Continue Reading
Wordless Wednesday- New Orleans Butterfly Edition
Recently I had to visit the opportunity to visit theAudubon Institute Butterfly Garden & Insectarium in New Orleans. Fortunately, the Audubon Nature Institute in New Orleans was a sponsor of the Niche Mommy Conference I attended last week and generously allowed us to visit any of their locations in NOLA. Myself & 3 other bloggers went together to explore the city & visit the Continue Reading

Like so many families, children's books have always had a special place in our families heart. Some of our family's favorite traditions include specific children's books. Being from the New Orleans area, our family is always looking for local children's books that help give us some small any kind of cultural identity. My children & I recently read "JuJu the Good Voodoo" by Michelle Hirtus. We let me almost 8 year old son begin our new book adventure that introduced us the character JuJu. Continue Reading

Stepping Into Louisiana History: Fort Pike #BayouTravel
One of my favorite parts of living in Louisiana is all the history that surrounds our state. With so many museums & attractions that showcase American History, it's hard not to enjoy all these features with our family on the weekends. Recently, we took our children to visit Fort Pike. Fort Pike is located about 20+ miles from downtown New Orleans. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on 4th of July (holiday was very fitting) and loved the beautiful scenery of the location. Having lunch at Fort Pike is Continue Reading
