The Roosevelt hotel - Waldorf Astoria Spa #BayouTravel

I love to travel but my favorite city will always be New Orleans. Since we live so close to New Orleans we always try to incorporate weekends trip with and without the children. Today I am sharing one New Orleans Hotel option. The Roosevelt, Waldorf Astoria Hotel is a great option for a girl’s weekend. Why? One reason is the recently re-branded Waldorf Astoria Spa, New Orleans.

Waldorf Astoria Spa - New Orleans, Louisiana #BayouTravel

I’m a spa girl! I feel slightly guilty letting you know that I travel with a spa treatment on my agenda. It’s a guilty pleasure but I consider it part of my overall health regimen. So when I heard The Waldorf Astoria Spa was hosting an exclusive event for local bloggers I had to learn more about the recent updates and treatments available. Signature treatments like couples messages, reflexology, prenatal message, and four handed massages are available at the Waldorf Astoria Spa, New Orleans.

You can also receive facial therapies like the Beauty Diamond Facial, organic super sensitive facial or an Organic Gentleman’s Facial. The best part of the treatments available at Waldorf Astoria Spa is that local ingredients used. Strawberry has a local significance to Louisiana. In 2001, Strawberry because Louisiana’s official state fruit and is a key contributor to Louisiana’s economy. You can find many of the treatments provided use strawberry as a key ingredient.

Why feel guilty about going to the spa? You deserve it! I’ve never actually had a spa treatment but I do enjoy my pedicures. :)

My favorite spa treatment is hot stone massage therapy. Of course I haven’t had one in years now. And as long as they do not blow steam directly into my face (read my nose) I am fine with them as well. That Waldorf looks every bit as nice as the one in NYC!
