25 Days of Elf on the Shelf

Recently I have had a few Facebook friends ask about Elf on the Shelf ideas. I wanted to let my readers know I will be doing a 25 days of Elf on the Shelf SOON!! Prior to that, I will also be doing a Elf on the Shelf – Smoky Mountain Christmas Travel Series. I am so excited about the series and know your family will enjoy it as well.

Make sure to check back and please feel free to share this sneak peek image on Pinterest and other social media sites. Your friends will enjoy adding it to their Elf on the Shelf picture collection.

What is an Elf on the Shelf?

The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition is a 2005 children’s picture book, written and self-published by American author Carol Aebersold and daughter Chanda Bell and illustrated by Coë Steinwart, featuring a Christmas-themed tale, written in rhyme, that explains how Santa knows who is naughty and who is nice.

In accordance with the traditional story, The Elf on the Shelf usually begins at Thanksgiving and continues until Christmas Eve when the elves return to the North Pole until the next holiday season. The Elf on the Shelf comes in a keepsake box that features a hardbound picture book and a small soft toy in form of a pixie scout elf.

I have heard of Elf on a Shelf but honestly don’t know much about it.

I’ll look forward to seeing your journey and maybe get a better idea.

I love Elf on the Shelf. These ideas are so funny… I wish I had started this when my children were just a bit younger. They are just so many possibilities here for Holiday Fun!

How fun! I don’t have an Elf on the Shelf but these are super cute ideas. I know my grandchildren would get a kick out of this. Thanks for the idea!

I’ve been thinking about doing the whole “Elf on the Shelf” thing. I don’t have any kids, but I’m still thinking about using it just to freak out my girlfriend, lol.

I can’t even deal…this guy creeps me out! It wasn’t ever a tradition in our family, and I’m so glad. I think it’s scary.

I’ve never heard of Elf on the Shelf, but it seems like a cute idea, but his face is super creepy, like Gnomes and clowns. I wonder if we can change it for something else with my own kids.

Interesting topic. for someone like myself who is not born and raise in this country will definitely learn something from you post. I have never heard of this elf on the shelf ideas. Christmas from our country is more on religious traditions. Thanks for sharing
