My oldest daughter Sarah will turn 12 this month. As much as I get weepy thinking about those days when she needed me for basic survival needs, I know that these next few years are so important in the kind of woman she becomes. Every morning I tell both my children "Be Nice & Work Hard". What a proud Mamma I am knowing that they do their best and most of all are kind to others while doing it. For 5 years my daughter & I were apart of Girl Scouts. We had so many wonderful memories & Continue Reading
Family Movie Night w/ The Avengers Blu-Ray/DVD/Graphic Novel Combo Pk #Cbias #MarvelAvengersWMT
We love the fact that our children are getting older. One reason is our family movie night doesn't revolve around around adults wearing stuffed costumes or or animated characters singing every 5 minutes. Although we still love animated movies, the storyline are a little more appealing to adults as well as children nowadays. Marvel Avengers is a perfect fit for our growing family. There's humor, action, and characters my husband & I have enjoyed since we were kids. A few months ago my husband Continue Reading

Oz The Great and Powerful Movie Poster – 2013
I know it's extremely early, but I'm so excited about the release of Oz The Great and Powerful in 2013. My family (like so many others) are huge Disney Movie Fans. I haven't seen a Disney movie that has disappointed me & I know that this will exceed my expectations. My favorite aspect of Disney movies is that my children are always encouraged to read the original books based on the motion pictures. I can't wait to see my children holding The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum in their Continue Reading
Reading Eggs – Educational Website Review
Reading is one of my favorite pastime. I remember being a child with my flashlight under my covers reading a book well past my bedtime. As I got older, I used to get grounded from "reading". It made no sense to me at the time (and still doesn't). But now having an 11 year old, I see my own tween staying up until 2a.m becuase she couldn't put down a book! My son (now 7yrs old) was diagnosed with profound speech delay before he was even 3 years old. My biggest fear was that in was not only Continue Reading

I remember being a young girl & begging my mother for fashion magazines. I don't think it was so much about fashion, as much as it was a magazine that I could relate too. For my birthday one year, I received a gift subscription to a teen type magazine. Every month I anxiously waited for the magazine to hit the mailbox. When it came it, I instantly read it cover to cover! Times haven't changed much, but content sure has. I try an monitor what my daughter reads to ensure that the teen/tween Continue Reading
