It’s funny how certain seasons triggers specific emotions & memories I had as a child. My grandmother would spend several hours a day in the spring & summer months tending to her large garden. I benefited from the harvest, but I also grew a love for gardening and to this day have a large vegetable garden every springtime. One thing I clearly remembered was my grandmother coming inside on a hot day to enjoy a glass of iced tea. She had boxes of tea on the counter from herbal tea, relaxation tea, and of course flavored teas. Like gardening, I guess I grew to enjoy more than just gardening from my grandmother.

Now that I’m starting to work on my garden again, I headed to Walmart to choose my seedlings that will be added to our spring vegetable garden. I also needed to add tea to my grocery list. Since I’ve cut out soda from my diet, I focus on water & unsweetened tea. One way I add flavor to my unsweetened tea is by choosing a brand that gives me the variety and quality I need. Bigelow Tea is one of my go to brands for tea. Like my grandmother’s tea collection, I also love a variety of flavors to my tea bag drawer. I love a nice cup of hot tea, but also love iced cold tea as well. For that I mix & match my tea bags to give my the optimal flavor my taste buds are craving that day. By doing this, it definitely takes away my urge to pop open a carbonated soft drink.

Aside from the large variety of flavors that Bigelow Tea offers, Bigelow tea is a family-owned company that dates back over 60 years. Today Bigelow tea is still a family operation where quality is still their #1 priority. Each & every tea bag is overwrapped and sealed in a stay fresh foil packet so that all the goodness & original flavor is protected. That means every cup is totally fresh & ready for to be enjoyed. I’m a busy mom & time is always my biggest challenge, but it is important to me to make a fresh cup of hot tea which gives me a few minutes to clear my mind and reboot form the days busy events.

At Walmart you can always find a large variety of tea & gardening. For me price is always a factor, but fin ding a product that can be both affordable & have the best quality is always a great choice for me. Bigelow Tea can offer both to me & my family. With their commitment to the community and to land preservation, I couldn’t think of a better way to fully enjoy that cup of hot tea after gardening or any other time of day. Vanilla Chai is my favorite! Yum! I drink both hot tea and iced, depending on the season. For some reason, I don’t drink hot tea in the summer – but still drink hot coffee?!

Last summer I had an herb garden, this year I’m going to try tomatoes in a container and the herbs again. Gardening is so relaxing, it’s too bad that I’m not more successful at it! I tend to forget to water!

I love hot tea in the winter and cold in the summer. Pomegranate is my newest favorite flavor – right behind is anything orange.
