Luxury on a Budget on the Space Coast #BayouTravel

Any vacation to the Space Coast of Florida can be done on a budget, but it is possible to vacation in the lap of luxury all while staying on a budget too. The Space Coast happens to sit between two very expensive vacation destinations, it’s still developed, but spending a weekend to a week here is much more budget friendly than just an hour south or north.

Families, singles or couples that want to get away for some sun and sand, really live it up, but not spend like they are independently wealthy. If you want a luxury vacation on a budget on the Space Coast, keep reading to find out how to make this a possibility.

Luxury Lodging on a Budget
Your accommodations while you are at the Space Coast are going to be the most costly, making up over one half of your expenses. To save money and really cut down on the amount, look for alternate accommodations to a hotel. Renting a house or beach condo for the duration of your stay can put you in luxury digs, right on the beach for much less per person than a resort stay would be. The perks of staying in a rental are numerous too, allowing you more room, additional amenities like private bedrooms, bathrooms and a full kitchen.

Luxury Dining on a Budget
Most luxury dining options are going to be located closer to the resorts that these restaurants cater too. If there are one or two places that you absolutely want to try, check for lunch or brunch menus, which can save you up to half your tab. An additional way to save money on dining is to sign up for all the local deal websites, Groupon and Amazon local are best, entering information for Cocoa Beach. Sign up for both of these deal sites as soon as you know you are planning a vacation and watch for restaurant deals that you can use when you arrive.

Finally, instead of heading straight to the more expensive restaurants in town, find out where the locals go and you might just find the best dining spot on the coast.

Book Off Season Travel
Most of us try to vacation at the same time, and this is a huge part of the reason why vacationing on the Space Coast, or any coast, might be out of your reach. Book off season this time around and you can expect to snag the best deals around, on everything.

Times to avoid are Christmas and New Year, Spring Break week and mid June to July. Instead, hold off your vacation for the fall, when most families and vacationers have to head back home for the school year. A late spring vacation will also save you money and you can have your pick of accommodations and car rentals.

Research the Space Coast Destinations

The area around Cocoa Beach is where you are going to find most of the tourists, staying in everything from campgrounds to luxury hotels. Expand your search to other towns, there are several small beach communities up and down the Space Coast that aren’t considered tourist traps, and you will be surprised by how much you can save with just a few miles between you and the beach.

With all the money you save on your next Space Coast destination, you can begin putting the savings towards a future stay.

Have you considered vacationing at the Space Coast?
