JT2020

Ever since I was little I wanted to be a singer. I had big dreams of singing on a large stage somewhere. I could see my name in bright lights! I just needed… my big break. But when I was 10 years old, I realized I had no talent whatsoever! I’m not kidding, I’m a horrible singer. But my lack of talent didn’t keep me away from my love for music.

Over the years I have been to dozens of live concerts and have bought numerous Cd’s. Yes, I still buy Cd’s. One of my all-time musical crushes is Justin Timberlake! JT & I are like old friends. I’m fairly sure that if we met in real life, we would be total BFF’s. I can imagine him texting my song lyrics and me giving him advice on finding the “perfect hook”. I give fantastic advice, so naturally I would be his go-to person when he needs someone to keep it real. Because we are almost BFF’s, I was so excited to find out that Justin Timberlake released his new album ‘The 20/20 Experience’ today, 3/19/13. For once week, March 19 – March 24, you can get the CD for only $7 at Walmart at their special launch price!
JT2020 $7.00

Wait, $7.00?!? I left work & headed straight to Walmart which is on my way home. My daughter is a huge fan as well so I called her immediately to let hew know I would be making a ‘Timberlake’ stop before heading home. You can also order via Walmart.com HERE. The great part about Justin Timberlake’s newest album release ‘The 20/20 Experience’ is that the music is phenomenal! From ‘Suit & Tie’ to ‘Mirrors’, your hardest decision will be which song to download as your ringtone. The sound ranges from jazz to pop which whatever you do, it just needs to be played over & over and LOUD!

I’m a huge music lover, but more importantly, I also share that love for music with my own daughter. One of the things my daughter loves about Justin Timberlake is that he plays multiple instruments aside from his vocal talents. As someone who plays the piano, guitar, clarinet & takes vocal lessons, my daughter can definitely appreciate his artistry. At $7.00 I can give my daughter a new sound and she can teach herself who to play the chorus in a matter of a few days. to me, that is most definitely worth $7!

Music Education JT2020

My daughter is almost 13 years old so we are very particular about instruments and instruction, but we started small. With the help of garage sale stores and stores like Walmart, we were able to encourage her love for music by finding inexpensive instruments to get her started. While I was at Walmart today, I stopped by their children’s instrument section. Like always, they have a nice collection of musical toys & instruments that can occupy a young child.

They may be toys to them, but as long as it is encouraging music and creativity it is also education. Hey, who knows, maybe one day they they will be bringing ‘Sexy Back’

Hmmm, not so much a huge JT fan but his music has really evolved over the years and I am now at the point where I don’t mind listening to his songs if they are on the radio. Also, I don’t have much of a choice-my kids love him.

$7 is awesome. Our girls seem to like the piano, but they aren’t quite there yet on wanting to actually take lessons.

That is a super sweet deal for a CD. Especially for such an icon like JT! I love that you are encouraging music for your kids. I think it is crucial to them that they have a love of music. It can help them in so many other areas of life. But it also gives them a way for expression when words fail them.

When did JT becomes so popular again? I have to admit I was a huge fan and now so is my daughter. Just a little odd, but he is aging gracefully I have to say :)

With space being an issue, I’ve fully embraced digital and given up CD’s unless they are sent to me for review! :-)

I got to hear this album way before it officially dropped on Spotify, Suit and Tie is definitely the best track!

I would however love to hear you sing a duet with JT! :)

I had no idea this was available for only $7 at Walmart. I’ll have to add it to my list next time I’m there. I’ve heard it’s a great CD.
