Planning a beach trip? Visit Alabama Gulf Coast: Gulf Shores & Orange Beach

Disclosure: Sponsored Giveaway by Alabama Gulf Coast
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach

I love winter but I can’t take the cold much longer. In fact, I have been planning my travel destinations for 2014. You can guarantee that the beach will be involved. I am planning an upcoming to Gulf Shores. Gulf Shores & Orange Beach is 32 miles of sugar-white beaches that stretch along a 27,000 acre island on the northernmost coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The location is absolutely breathtaking and a short drive from the New Orleans area. If you have yet to visit Gulf Shores you will be impressed by the Sand dunes, turquoise waters of the coast and almost 400,00 acres of protected waters in the area.

Vacation Destination Ideas: Gulf shores & Orange Beach Alabama Gulf Coast
Whether you are looking for adventure, fun or relaxation, Gulf Shores & Orange Beach is your vacation destination. Families are flocking to Gulf Shores & Orange Beach due to its family orientated attractions like ziplines, a water park, go carting as well as charter fishing and championship golf. I know many families that flock to Gulf Shores & Orange Beach for their annual vacation and weekend getaways but the sandy beaches are not the only reason.

While I can spend a week at the beach with no problem, Gulf State Park & Lake Shelby is another way families can enjoy the back bay of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach. Prepare your family for a mini- adventure. Swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and more can help turn your little ones into outdoor enthusiasts. Don’t forget about Fort Morgan! An active fort from 1834 to World War II, Fort Morgan can help add educational travel to your upcoming beach vacation.

If you are planning your upcoming beach trip, don’t forget about Lulu’s! Lulu’s is owned and operated by restaurateur and author, Lucy Buffett. Name sound familiar? It should, her brother Jimmy Buffet has been known to stop by for a surprise performance. The beach is music to my ears but if you need another reason to visit Gulf Shores & Orange Beach then The Hangout Music Festival is your reason! Occurring annually in May, the Hangout Music Festival has more than 60 bands performing on four stages. Tickets are on sale now! You and 35,ooo of your best friends can enjoy the one-of-a-kind music festival that takes place on the beautiful, white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, AL.
