At the end of the month my family and I will be making our way aboard Carnival Cruise Lines again. I LOVE cruising, but I’m not the only one. In fact, my kids have bypassed Disney over cruising since they first experienced the Carnival Fun Ship. But cruising is SO addicting! If you are considering a cruise for the first time, here are some reason why you should book and start packing.
Instant Vacation
If you happen to live near a port city, your vacation consists of packing and finding a ride to your local port. Others may have to fly or drive to a nearby port, but can rest assure, as soon as their feet touch the inside of a cruise ship, you are on vacation!

Not only do you have the affordability to make payments on your cruise but gratuities and service charges are all included. Ultimately you can cruise for one price and “nickle & dime” the entire trip. Others prefer adding to their cruise package with excursions, alcohol and reservations at upscale restaurants while aboard. Although we cruise with our children, with all of the on-board activities, there is bound to be some alone time whole cruising. If your are on cruise together with your husband or wife, you will enjoy secluded beaches on every stop over, dining on the balcony overlooking clear waters, and spa services for two. Take advantage of the child care and have a romantic dine-in date in the main dining area every evening or an afternoon brunch while the kids are at Camp Carnival.
Cruise Cuisine
Be ready to gain 5-7 pounds a week with these delicious delicacies offered on-board. Breakfast Buffet, Afternoon Tea, Fine Dining, Desserts just to name a few. Dishes are served with different exotic ingredients and various cooking style.
If your not a foodie, you can find food like pizza and ice cream or the spa cuisine for a healthy alternative. You can also dine in a small bistro or a casual eatery plus take advantage of the numerous upscale add-oms aboard various ships.
Kids Activities
I love my children but it’s nice to know that my kids can enjoy some time alone with kids their age while mom & Dad lounge by the pool or enjoy cruise ship on-board activities like cooking demos or wine tastings.
There are plenty of kid-friendly sightseeing and sports activities plus educational tours led by selected historians and educators at various ports, or you can simply enjoy the pool, waterslides and relax. While the kids are enjoying activities on their own, you can enjoy a comedy show, listen to jazz music or dance night away at the cruise ship nightclub.
