Creative Valentines Ideas

Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity for you to get romantic and cheesy without fear of what others think. You can go out to dinner, buy roses and give jewelry to your significant other. Although there is nothing wrong with these classic Valentine’s Day activities, this romantic holiday allows for couples everywhere to experiment a little and have some fun.

Treasure Hunt
One way to have fun on Valentine’s Day in a non-traditional way is to send your significant other on a treasure hunt. The treasure hunt could be around the house or around town. Set a starting point and give clues to the next place that your significant other needs to go. The clues can lead to destinations such as the spa for a couples massage or a restaurant for a romantic evening out. Try to make the clues meaningful to you and your significant other so that the night is more special. This is a great way for you and your significant other to spend time together for your date night while giving you the unique opportunity to give your date little gifts throughout the night.

Throwback Date

When you’ve been in a relationship for awhile, it can be easy to forget how you felt on that first date. The romance and excitement can be put on the backburner while you’re both busy with careers, kids and life in general. You can rekindle that spark by taking your significant other out on a throwback date night. Take an evening and visit some of the first places you met if possible. Go to the restaurant you had your first date at or rent the first movie you saw together. If you don’t live in the same area anymore, you can recreate your first date in your home. Decorate the room with memorabilia from your first days and weeks together.

Personalized Movie Night
Want to stay in and have a romantic evening with your date? You can create a personalized movie representing your lives together and have an exclusive showing just for the two of you. The movie could be something as simple as a slideshow of special pictures with a soundtrack of your favorite songs. You could also add audio in which you narrate the fun times you’ve had together. Another way you can make your movie special would be to add clips of friends and family as they talk about what they think is so special about your relationship.
