Bilingual Dia de los Muertos Inspired Printables - Education Printable in Spanish

Printables are fun, easy to access and perfect for indoor activities with the kids. Since we have made our way into October I wanted to shared two Día de los Muertos { Day of the Dead} Printables.

Día de los Muertos is a very important part of my Latino culture and I am fully aware that the holiday does not commemorate just sugar skulls and is Aztec mythology, but the opportunity for other cultures and younger generations can still benefit from discussing Dia de los Muertos with your family.

Sugar Skull Mask Printable - Dia De Los Muertos Day of the Dead Activity for Children

My daughter is in high school and wants to minor in Latino Studies when she goes to college so we discuss Mesoamerican history regularly. Although we discuss Mictecacihuatl, Aztec queen of the underworld. keeping things light for younger children is definitely a must! We created a new printable in honor of Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead.

Our Sugar skull mask Printable – Dia De Los Muertos Day of the Dead Activity for Children is colorful and kid-friendly. In fact, my daughter printed one to give to her high school Fine Art Survey class.

Bilingual Printable Spanish : English Dia De Los Meurtos skeleton bones

I know what you’re thinking? How is this traditional Dia de los Muertos? Why not make this a cultural learning activity and have your children gain cultural knowledge as well as a Spanish lesson. My kids are older and use an App to practice their Spanish when they have downtime in their bedrooms. If you have younger children, use this bilingual printable that offers a Spanish anatomy lesson.

Our Bilingual Printable in English & Spanish educates using Dia De Los Meurtos to learn the bones in the skeleton. Plus kids can have fun learning about science, history and other cultures along the way.

Have you discussed what Dia de los Muertos with your family? Are there any cultural holidays to your family celebrates others might not know about?

This brings back memories of homeschooling my four kids (WAY back in the 1990s). They really enjoyed worksheets and activities like these.
