Imagine tender all natural red Angus Meyer beef smoked low and slow to perfection and then lathered with some of the best homemade barbecue sauce and secret Shed sauce your lips have tasted in a looooonnnngggg time! Top with a few pickles and onions and you will see pigs fly!

No, literally. You never know what you’ll see at The Shed Bar-B-Que and Blues Joint in Oceans Springs, Mississippi.

Every heard the saying: One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. Well, that is precisely what happened when Shed founder, Brad Orrison and his sister took Brad’s junk and turned it into treasure. The once 300 sq. ft. BBQ take out stand is now a 9,570 sq. feet including the office and stage. It seats 120 inside and an additional 450 outside.

The family owned and operated restaurant features live music, catering and a retail store where ShedHeads can take some of the Shed home with them in the form of apparel, marinades, rubs you name it!

Does The Shed sound familiar? It should! They have been featured on Destination America, Food Networks ‘Diners, Drive-in and Dives”, “Food Paradise”, “Live! With Regis and Kelly”, Travel Channel’s “Man vs. Food.” and the list goes on.

My husband and I tend to order different items off the menu for variety purposes but in this case, it’s BBQ sliced brisket sandwich for each of us. The brisket sandwich was great and I went into starch/carb overload with their mac n cheese AND sweet potato casserole.

My favorite item: sweet potato casserole. It was AH-MAZING!

The Shed is a picnic style restaurant and dog-friendly. They even offer bowls and drinking water for you 4 legged friends. In addition, The Shed offers a full craft beer list with something like over 100 different beers in house and offer a 10% military (retired or active) discount.

The restaurant is unique and offers a fun, eclectic atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. P.S Wear stretchy pants! :)
