Are you looking for a special place to ring in the New Year this coming New Year’s Eve? There are plenty to choose from if you’re wanting to welcome 2015 somewhere other than your own home or home town.
New York City
Admit it, you’ve always wondered what it would be like to watch that ball drop in Times Square. New York City on New Year’s Eve just seems to be right, doesn’t it? There are plenty of New Year’s activities all over New York City, but wherever you go you can expect to enjoy great music, plenty of treats to eat and drink, and large crowds. If Times Square isn’t your think, you can head to Brooklyn for a midnight fireworks show and food at Prospect Park’s Grand Army Plaza.
Sydney, Australia
You can be one of the first people to ring in the New Year if you visit Sydney, Australia for your New Year’s celebration. Sydney puts on quite a show with amazing fireworks, street entertainment, food, and plenty of options. The celebration usually attracts around 1.5 million visitors, so plan for a crowd if you make Sydney your New Year destination.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegas offers up a great party to New Years’ revelers. The city closes the strip to vehicles after a certain time on New Year’s Eve so you can celebrate by walking the strip, watching fireworks and enjoying the atmosphere without dodging cars. Many hotels and venues offer great shows for this holiday but a number of them lock their doors at midnight, so you would need to decided if you are staying in one playing or going to roam.
Quebec City, Canada
The winter holidays sparkle in Quebec City. The annual Quebec City Lights Festival ends on New Year’s Eve, making the celebration spectacular atmidnight as party goers welcome the New Year. Entertainment, fireworks, and plenty of “old world” charm are on the menu in this city if you choose to ring in 2015 there.
London, England
Revelers throw restraint aside during the annual New Year’s celebration in London, England. You can count the chimes that mark midnight with Big Ben and watch the fireworks display over the Thames River that rings in the New Year. You can expect to enjoy plenty of entertainment at stage shows and local pubs along with the multitude of New Year’s celebrants. On New Year’s Day, you can enjoy the New Year’s Day parade that is packed full of celebration and entertainment from all over the world.
Ring in the New Year at one of these great destinations and you’re sure to make a few new memories. Wherever you choose to celebrate the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015, you can bet it will be an experience you will enjoy!
How do you celebrate the New Year?
These are all great place to bring in the New Year indeed. I would love to be in London England or New York City. I have never brought the New Year in from somewhere else but this is indeed on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing.

I used to ring in the New Years in NYC-sometimes in Times Square-sometimes elsewhere. The days of being in those crowds and FREEZING are way gone. Now I am happy to stay at home and watch the Ball drop from the warmth of my apartment! I might like to try Las Vegas on New Years–I’ve never been there and that sounds like the perfect time for a first visit!
We’re almost always home on New Year’s Eve. It’s nice and safe that way, no need to worry about people drinking and then getting behind the wheel and having to share the road with them.
