Are you planning a vacation somewhere in the Caribbean? Whether you are planning a trip sooner or later, there are certain places you need to be sure to visit. Check out these five countries in the Caribbean that are a must on your visit list.
Aruba
The gorgeous little island of Aruba is a must if you are visiting the Caribbean. It’s ideal for families, honeymooners, even weddings. With plenty of modern accommodations and attractions that shouldn’t be missed, Aruba should be on your list to visit. While in Aruba, you can tour the island by bus, go snorkeling and sailing, take a bar hopping tour of the island’s nighttime hot spots, enjoy an underwater tour around the island or go diving.
Saint-Martin
Sunshine and paradise may be two words that can describe Saint-Martin. This Caribbean island is definitely worth a visit. You can explore the hills by horseback or enjoy a zip line adventure. The beaches are covered with powdery, white sand that must be seen. The turquoise waters that surround the island are breathtaking, and if you want, you can jump right in to swim or take part in a diving tour to see the underwater features around the island. You may be treated to an afternoon rain shower that will alleviate the heat of the day but will certainly not deter the experience you will have while visiting Saint-Martin.
Bahamas
The Bahamas is actually a series of islands and cays located north of Cuba and Hispaniola in the Atlantic Ocean. While not technically located in the Caribbean Sea, the Bahamas are considered a Caribbean nation. With more than 700 islands and cays as part of the nation, there are plenty of sites to see and enjoy. Nassau may be the most popular, but there are plenty of other sites to visit and things to do. From boating, to beaches, to diving tours, you can choose fun activities for the whole family or for just yourself or for you and a friend. If it’s nature exploration you are after, you can bet that you will find plenty to do if you visit the Bahamas.
U.S. Virgin Islands
Beautiful blue waters and gorgeous scenery will greet you if you visit the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you’re looking for romance, the U.S. Virgin Islands have plenty. As a popular honeymoon destination, you can expect to see plenty of couples visiting. For families, though, the islands also have plenty of sites and attractions.
Puerto Rico
San Juan, Puerto Rico is a popular destination on this island nation. About 40 miles to the east, though, lies the town of Vieques which features a number of mom-and-pop inns and laid back attractions. Vieques is also the location of the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge and features a gorgeous beach that is quite popular.
If you’re looking for fun and romance, family activities and relaxation, you can certainly find what you’re looking for at one of these Caribbean destinations.

I have been to the Bahamas–right after a major hurricane so I did get to see the effects of that! I have heard marvelous things about Aruba and have always wanted to go see and experience Puerto Rico!
I haven’t been to any of these but have always wanted to go the Caribbean, send me the tickets and I’ll be on my way š
I’ve been to Saint Martin and Puerto Rico! I’d love to go back to the Caribbean – it’s been almost 9 years. Absolutely gorgeous part of the world.
It’s ironic that I worked mainly with Caribbean properties in the travel industry for 2 years but never got to go! I’d love to visit the Caribbean soon…I need sun!
One down, four to go! I would love to see them all.
I don’t have any Caribbean islands on my bucket list right now. They do look like great places to relax and unwind.
The Caribbean is one place I want to take a cruise. Not sure which area I would visit as they all sound amazing!
