Many know Las Vegas is a great place to visit if you want to partake in casino gambling in land based casinos rather than the online casinos. However, many do not realize that it is also an excellent place for families to vacation. Many casinos today are actually part of a resort that provides a variety of activities besides casino gambling. A lot of these activities are ideal for families to enjoy. In fact, there are so many of them that a family would be hard pressed to do all the activities in the city.

The casino at Circus Circus also includes activities that family can enjoy. The Adventure Dome is an amusement park built on a smaller scale than a standalone park. Overall, the space it takes up measure five acres. Visitors can find full size rides at the Adventure Dome. However, other activities exist here including: mini golf, laser tag and bumper cars. The rides at the Adventure Dome have a mixture of junior rides and family rides. Some are more appropriate for younger children than others. The junior rides are geared more towards teens and adults.

If a family is into learning about nature, a sure to please attraction is the Shark Reef Aquarium. Located at Mandalay Bay, this exhibit provides casino goers with additional activities. The aquarium is quite large and contains 1.6 million gallons of water. As the name suggests, the aquarium is home to sharks, in fact 15 different species of them. Of course, other creatures can also be found at the aquarium. Some of the popular ones include the golden crocodiles and vicious piranhas. The aquarium was specially designed with walk through tunnels which make it possible for visitors to view the animals all around them. Families that have children four and under can expect these young ones to get in for free.

Have you ever experienced Las Vegas with your family?

I have never quite made it to Las Vegas-I am not a gambler and one of these days will get there just to see it and the surrounding areas! That aquarium sounds like something I would thoroughly enjoy seeing.

Yes! I’ve been twice! I loved taking my daughter there. We drove around daily to find things to do! I remember she loved the children’s museum!

I’ve never been to Las Vegas, relatives have but not me. It looks so glam with all the lights, casinos and shows though it is tempting. I can see the crocodiles and piranhas making quite an impact on my boys!!

My husband and I had so much fun in Vegas before we were married! It would be fun to enjoy it as a family now too.

I love taking my girls to Vegas on vacation. We have been doing this since they were like 7,8,9 and 10. Now we take Sammy who is six and we always find plenty of stuff for her to do.

I actually live in Las Vegas. There’s is lots to do, as a family. Walking The Strip, seeing all of the casinos, the shows, museums will keep you busy.
