Planning for the Unplanned - Gym Bag Emergency Essentials #ConfidenceUDeserve {ad}
The week work/school week goes by like a blur and we’re back to our short weekend which consists of laundry, cleaning, family responsibilities and preparing for the upcoming work week. One thing my teenage daughter and I do is do some easy prep work on Sunday evenings that can make a huger difference in our work/school week.

Her responsibilities don’t end after school, she had volleyball practice and games and starting basketball training this week as well. She has to has to be on her A-game so prepping her gym bag essentials is a must, especially for “the unplanned”. Let’s face it, she hasn’t missed school in 9 years so missing practice or school during a certain time of the month isn’t an option. She has to find ways to comfort herself and keep her mind/body going especially during her cycle.

Gym Bag Emergency Essentials from CVS & U by Kotex #ConfidenceUDeserve {ad}

Sunday evening Sarah and I went to CVS to pick up a few things while we were in the area. While we were there we picked up a few key items she needed to replenish in her gym bag “period survival” must-haves including U by Kotex product. With our $2.00 coupon off U by Kotex product in hand, we made our way to the feminine care aisle in the back of our local CVS store.

We decided to try U by Kotex product Sleek Tampons which have a PerfectTouch Grip for “just right” placement and a smooth tip for easy insertion, so you can hit the pool (or do whatever else you want!) Smooth tip, slim size plus they’re smooth, easy to grip, and colorful! Or you can try U by Kotex® 3D Capture Core® With Xpress DRI which quickly draws in and locks away wetness.

I LOVE CVS! You can find everything you need from beauty items to snacks without the crowds plus they have some awesome deals! Sarah’s in high school but she can’t leave the school until after practice or her games are complete so she has to have everything she needs during her cycle within reach. Snacks in her gym bag essentials are a must! She likes to add nuts for protein and energy. She also adds fruit snack bars so added sugar plus she won’t have to worry about fruit melting vs. chocolate.

We all know our skin goes into the acne witness protection program during our cycle so we also packs some oil-free cleansing wipes for acne prone skin. After games or practice she instantly removes one wiper and cleans her face do reduce the risk of acne during her cycle. Don’t forget about pain! There’s no “I don’t feel good” in sports! Any active teen needs to learn to push through the pain and discomfort during her cycle so my teen adds a small bottle of ibuprofen to help alleviate any pain associated with her period.

Your cycle is part of life, but finding ways to give confidence and comfort is a must. Prep and be prepared, even for the unplanned! With the help of CVS and U by Kotex products, you can kick discomfort to the curb.

    This is a great idea – You never know when your period may come unexpectedly, so it’s good to be prepared. CVS is the go-to place to get all of your “that time of the month” necessities! #client

    I always make sure I have my period kit with me every time I go out. I get my supplies at CVS.

    Thankfully I workout at home so no emergency kit needed there. I do keep one in my car though just in case.

    I am fortunate to have been doing a lot of at home workouts. I use the Journey Gym and it has everything I need. The best part, it works on my schedule.

    CVS is definitely a good stop for these kinds of supplies. They even have some convenient supplements that can help out in the gym.

    Always have to have a few extra in your gym bag. You never know when it’ll be back, at least in my case.

    It is always best to be prepared in any situation. I guess preparing all depends on how old you are and what your issues are. Kotex is a great brand and I love their packaging.

    I work out at home so I have not been to a gym in decades, however, this list is a great one if I ever do join one. It’s always great to be prepared.
