Paint Nite_ Live Creatively & Get Social

I love getting together with my friends in any environment! But with a job, kids afterschool and after work activities making time for a girl’s night out is almost impossible to plan. Recently a friend and I were invited to attend a local Girl’s Night Out Paint Nite event. Don’t worry, it’s not just for the ladies, men were also on hand.

At a Paint Nite event you can find yourself getting creative with art and munch on some food and spirits (if you wish). Paint Nite events are scattered around the New Orleans Metro and available nationwide.

Whether your looking for a large event at the Howlin Wolf Den in New Orleans or a more intimate setting on the Northshore, local artist help others get creative with paint while getting social. Megan, our artist, showed guest step by step to creating their own unique artwork. While no two pieces are alike, all are inspired by the original artwork. But don’t worry, even a amateur like myself can paint a unique, beautiful rendering with the assistance of your instructor and her guided directions.

I have been to several local “painting events” but found that Megan’s instructions were on point. Even a novice like myself can create a work of art suitable for hanging! In fact, the first thing my son said when I arrived with my unique piece of art was: “It’s going in MY room.” Wow, I already had a fan!

Aside from getting creative, I was able to find an event close to my home where I wouldn’t feel guilty leaving the kids for a few hours. In fact, we had our event at a local Rotolo’s Pizzeria which offered a Fun Zone where our children can play while we had some adult time creating our work of art. My son had the opportunity to make new friends and guess what, so did I!

I honestly do not remember when I last went out with my girl friends! No good, I know. This sounds like it would be fun–maybe I’ll see if there is one near me and if I have to–go solo!

we did a paint night as a Girl Scout troop and had so much fun–the girls all really enjoyed it and we got to have fun as the leaders too-it was at our local coffee house and we even got to know some neighborhood people through the event. Love your sea turtle
