Sandwich Petals-The Ultimate Gluten Free Flat Bread #GlutenFree #GF

Looking for a substitute to the average tortilla while still being gluten free? The Ultimate Gluten-Free Flat Bread Sandwich Petals come in three different flavors: Chimayo Red Chile; Spinach Garlic; and Agave Grain. One of the best features of the petals was that its’ unique shape makes it very versatile for use in either cooking or to simply grab a quick sandwich. We found that each flavor was delicious and much more flavorful than a traditional tortilla. Because it is a long oval shape, it can either be easily rolled into a burrito-styled meal or folded into a sandwich. A traditional burrito can’t be made into a sandwich that will fit inside of a sandwich bag because the sides will become too wide. Versatility is always a big plus.

One of the biggest problems our family has discovered in our gluten-free diet is finding good tasting bread and bread substitutes. It’s rather disheartening to pay $6 for a very small loaf of bread and then bring it home to discover that it’s not very good. We’ve been searching everywhere for a good gluten-free tortilla. Our search is over! We were so thrilled to find that these petals are delicious and a great value.

My daughter likes to add her lunch meat (like turkey and cheese) to the petals and then microwave until melted. She then tops the sandwich as desired and has a nice gluten-free lunch. We have also used the petals for easy gluten-free breakfast burritos. In a small skillet cook some scrambled eggs, a bit of ham or breakfast sausage, along with the peppers and cheese of your choice. Then place the mixture in the petals and roll. Since breakfast can become a minefield of problems for the gluten-intolerant eater (doughnuts, muffins, pop tarts, etc. all off-limits), it’s very nice to find something satisfying and convenient. We found that each flavor was delicious and much more flavorful than a traditional tortilla.

Best of all, we can now fix for the family the chicken enchiladas that we’ve been missing out on since the diagnosis that my daughter received. I can now take my favorite recipe and substitute the petals for the forbidden flour tortillas. In fact, I’m looking forward to experimenting with other recipes with the petals! You can find more information on Sandwich Petals products, recipes and other reviews on their website SandwichPetals.com

(My SIL has a #GlutenFree Family. She wanted to share this post in hopes others can find products that are gluten free that is great tasting and reputable)
