Country Tonite Theatre - Family Entertainment in the Smoky Mountain Area Pigeon forge, Tennessee #BayouTravel

Our family is consistently looking for quality entertainment while traveling. 16 years my husband & I went to our first opry show together and since then, we were hooked! Where can you get clean family entertainment that includes singing, dancing, comedy, country and gospel in Pigeon Forge? Country Tonite Theatre has been providing quality entertainment in Pigeon Forge since 1997. In fact, Country Tonite in Pigeon Forge, Tenneesse has won so many awards including “2001-2013 show of the year”, “Best Live Country Show in America” and “Best Show in the Smokies”!

When planing 2013’s trip to the Smoky Mountain I knew we had to cross Country Tonite off my short list of must-see’s in the Smoky Mountains. High energy, talented musicians and singer and clean family entertainment is our family experienced throughout the entire show. Aside from Christmas music, there is several genres of music from country, gospel, blue grass and even youth performers. Despite the large audience, the show felt completely quaint and charming. Several audience members were asked to be part of the show which made ticket holders feel as if they were all a pat of the large scale production.

The theater itself was quite impressive! Country Tonite is located on the parkway in Pigeon Forge in a 1500 seat multi-million dollar theater with state-of the art sound and lighting which also houses two giant video screens. During our visit we were able to enjoy the Christmas Show which is featured only in November and December. I love Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains but Branson, Missouri is on my list for 2014. What I didn’t know was that The Country Tonite Pigeon Forge Show originated in 1992 at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas, opened in Branson, MO in 1994. After finding this out, my 2014 Branson trip just got more exciting to plan!

While we don’t like country music in our house, we also look for fun entertainment options while we travel – or even here at home.
