As a young child living in Los Angeles, my mother was extremely protective of us. Since she was a single mother for so many years, she was always working to provide for my older brother & I. This meant I spent a lot of time with my older brother and enjoyed playing with him every weekend when we were not in school. By playing, I mean playing with HIS toys. We played basketball, watched 3 Stooges and Kung Fu movies and of course there was always Star Wars.

To this day, I’m a Star Wars Geek. There, I said it! May 4th of approaching which means geeky Star Wars fan like myself will be expressing our Star Wars love on the official Star Wars Holiday. “May the fourth be with you”! I know it’s corny but it’s there and we will celebrate our love love, celebrate it’s culture and honor the film. So today my good I bring to you a special review & giveaway.

Since I am fortunately to have my own son who shares the same love for Star Wars as I have. I get to play enjoy watching my son playing with his Star Wars toys.Recently I was aware that Hasbro created a Angry Birds Star Wars Toy line based on the recent sucessful App. Angry Birds is so popular that I’m not really surprised about this new collaboration.
The new line of Hasbro toys recreates all the launching and destroying fun of the app in physical form. It also features your favorite STAR WARS characters re-imagined as high-flying ANGRY BIRDS and villainous pigs! Instantly I loved the look. It’s eye catching and a fun way to enjoy the Star Wars characters we have loved for so many years & bring it to a entire new generation.

We 1st tried out the MILLENNIUM FALCON which includes a target, base, LUKE SKYWALKER, CHEWBACCA and HAN SOLO bird balls, 5 cardboard pigs, 5 plastic stands and label sheets.My son loved playing the MILLENIUM FALCON. It did include some adult assembly, but my 12 yr old daughter set the game up for him with no problem. It was suitable for 1 or more players which is perfect for my two young Jedi. The basic point is for the birds to beat those pesty piggies by launch your balls at the table and bounce them at the target. You get points for every pig you knock over, every ball you land in the center target, and every ball you land in the cockpit. The only problem with this game is trying to decide which child gets to be a Star Wars Character & which has the be a pig!

We also received a ANGRY BIRDSTM STAR WARS® FOAM FLYERS for my young Jedi to try out. At $9.99 this is a perfect toy to give a younger Star Wars Angry Bird Fan. Suitable for ages 5 & up your child can toss around these 3.5-inch soft foam, iconic characters, Since these are made of foam, your child can not destroy it. A Younger child can create their own new way to play ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS! Available in LUKE SKYWALKER, CHEWBACCA, DARTH VADER and STORMTROOPER, each is sold separately. I found my son in his room watching television & tossing the foam flyer back & forth to himself. It’s a great way to encourage children to self-play.
