My brother grew baby chicks for a science fair project. We cracked open fertilized eggs each day to see how the chick was forming. A little gruesome but super interesting. Of course the best part was the baby chicks.

my cousin just moved to the country and made herself a chicken coup, my kids are so jealous. one day, we’ll get out of the city and get back to nature. I grew up on 10 acres, I miss the space and the animals! :)

Are you going to cook them or are just raising them for eggs? I witnessed a chicken getting it’s head cut off, and then the body jumping off the counter and running out the screen door while the head remained squawking on the counter, I still have trouble eating chicken to this day. I give you loads of credit because I just couldn’t do it! I kept telling my niece and nephew to stop naming the chicks because I knew what was going to happen, but they didn’t listen! :-0
