Many families have a Christmas Tradition. We have a few, but our favorite is our Christmas Book Collection. When my daughter was born, we started purchasing a new Christmas Book every year. Some were standard favorites, some are quirky and fun.
Now that my daughter is 11 and we have another child in the family, our books have become more creative. I had the opportunity to review the Storytime Teddie by Cuddle Barn. Storytime Teddie is an adorable plush teddy recites ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. The plush Teddie is super soft and has a beautiful velour outfit.
One of my favorite things about the Storytime Teddie is that it is not too loud. Many products similar to this can have a voice that is a tad bit obnoxious. The Storytime Teddie is complete opposite with a soft & charming. In addition to this, the Storytime Teddie automatically shuts itself off after it is done reciting ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Batteries are also included.
You can find it online at http://store.cuddle-barn.com/. Use code BSM2011 to save 15% off your order at the Cuddle Barn Online Store. At $29.99, this is a good price for the quality you will be receiving. I have seen many items similar that are of less quality for much more. Also, find them on Facebook.

Our favorite Christmas tradition is: On Christmas morning while we have coffee and hot chocolate, before the gifts are opened, we read the Christmas story from the Bible. Now that the kids are older they get to take turns reading too. It just reminds us of the first and foremost reason we celebrate Christmas

While raising our 5 children, we read the Biblical account of the birth of Christ. Also, we went to and participated in the church’s annual children’s Christmas story program. I miss those days, but now that they are grown and our 13 grandchildren range in age from 6 months to 24 years, we enjoy the tradition of gathering as many as possible to be together as a family and be thankful for our Saviour’s birth.

My favorite tradition is baking cookies with my daughters, going to Christmas In the Oaks, driving around and looking at the lights with the ooohhhs and aahhs, open house at our house or the relatives and having a birthday cake for Jesus and singing happy birthday. Ok so I don’t just have one favorite tradition but many the whole season and family and friends and the many different types of cookes I bake.

My favorite Christmas tradition is the early morning as everyone wakes up and the youngest are waiting in great anticipation for everyone else to wake up. The jostling and loud “whispers” to make sure no one “oversleeps” always makes me laugh. And then the morning hours that follow with the family, as gifts are opened and meal prep begins is such a comforting and homey feeling for me. I love having everyone home to share it.

It is so hard to choose, but I like the Advent Calendar. I remember doing this as a child and hope as my children grow older they’ll feel the excitement as well!

My favorite Christmas tradition is waking our son up Christmas eve night to see what he got from Santa. We spend Christmas morning in the car driving to visit my family so it gives our son more time to play and enjoy his gifts. It’s a lot better than him unwrapping everything then having to open and run. He just naps during the Christmas day car ride.
I don’t know how long we can do it but so far every year we have allowed him to sleep in our room and we sneak into his room and put up a tree(pre lit, no ornaments) just for him. After we finish placing all of the gifts we go back to bed and “wake up because we heard something”. He instantly knows what it is. He gets the most adorable look on his face, pauses, then yells out “Santa!” and makes a mad dash to his room. When he opens the door he always pauses with that same look of amazement just before he runs to get a closer look and finally start unwrapping.
That was a long comment but it’s my favorite tradition and what I look forward to all year.

My favorite is being able to make Prize Cookies every year.
My favorite Christmas Tradition is the weekend after Thanksgiving. My whole family gets together (even now that all us kids are older and there’s no a grand kid), get a tree and decorate it to the tune of Christmas music. We always have munchies and end up cooking goodies like cookies and brownies. And dinner is ALWAYS quesadilla, yum!
This night seems more like Christmas to me then the actual Christmas and I love it!
i love decorating the tree!
