Both of my kids are active in sports. In my house, my back porch is filled with cleats and athletic equipment. Making sure my children have the right sports equipment is only one part of team mom job. The other, is making sure my children have the proper game time snack.
When you’re out on the soccer field your children need plenty of water to keep hydrated. In between games I make sure to have additional snacks so my daughter and her team can avoid the concession stand. Instead I can pick up a 12 pack of 12 ounce POWERADE® and creative a fun team snack for my favorite ball players.
After being rained out for the last 2 weeks, I went to Walmart and picked up 2-12 pack of 12 ounce bottles POWERADE® plus a variety of fruit for my daughter’s teammates. POWERADE® has ION4® Advanced Electrolyte System helps replenish four electrolytes lost in sweat: sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium.
Not only is it more affordable than other sports drinks, POWERADE® is also formulated with Vitamins B3, B6, & B12 to support energy metabolism, and a 6% carbohydrate solution to help provide energy to working muscles.
While you are at Walmart, look for a coupon on the 12-pack 12 oz POWERADE® packages and you can get $1 off Walmart fresh produce when you buy two 12-pack 12 oz POWERADE®. Hurry this deal is only available while supplies lasts! I used my coupons to create a fun fruit snack for the kids and give them a sweet treat that will make me a sideline hero.
Fruit Kabobs are easy to make and will have the team cheering for more. I purchased a variety of fruit that my kids love and used plastic straws to assembled and hold our fruit kabobs in place. A little fruit goes a long way, but you can easily substitute some of the fruit I used, for things like apples and grapes.
Simply wash your fruit, peel, cut and assemble. It’s that easy! Add a 12 oz bottle of POWERADE® and your sideline kit is all set!
No matter who you are, we all started from the same place – just a kid from somewhere. POWERADE® believes that we all have the ability to power through and reach our athletic potential. POWERADE® is teaming up with the Boys and Girls Club, providing the belief, emotional and physical support, and hydration young athletes need to perform.
Next time you are at the soccer field, avoid the concession stand and be sure to purchase a few packs of POWERADE® this season for your child and your child’s team. In fact, you might need a bottle for for yourself as well. You deserve it to mom!

I’ve shared my sideline kit ideas with you. I’d love to hear about yours! Leave a comment sharing how you prepare for game days.

Good after game snacks for the kids. I know our league won’t let us handle fruit or bake anything for them. Everything has to be store bought. We definitely get powerade or gatorade though for them.
I am finding all kinds of cute ideas today. Love this fruit kabob idea. I am looking for some cute ideas to do when the grandkids are here.
My kids like Powerade. It is great for when they are playing outside, a good way to rehyrdrate!
I like those powerade bottles because they have the caps with the points for the Coke website. 😉 Loving the fruit kabobs too!
My kids always loved kebabs. I love the idea to use a straw as a skewer.
What a super fun idea for the kids! They are always so busy in the summer heat!
My daughter loves her Powerade! This is all she drinks. Those Straw Ka Bobs look great.
My kids used to drink Powerade during their track meets. They liked the results and the light taste made it really easy to hydrate with.

This sounds like the perfect combo to replenish after a grueling sports game! My daughter does track, and would love this for an after practice snack!
Ok so I am loving your idea of fruit kebobs on a straw on the Poweraid replenishment!
That is multitasking and eating healthy on the field at its best
Nothing like a platter of fresh fruit to give you the energy you need.
These fruit kaboobs look great. They are great as a snack or for breakfast
Our leagues won’t let us do this, but I so wish they would. We have to do store bought stuff, but I do bring in fresh fruit like halo’s and of course little powerade bottles! I love those kabobs, they are adorable and would be cute for lunches since I can’t do them as a sideline snack.
Powerade and fresh fruit are a great combo snack. I love to snack on fresh fruit.
I love Kabobs! This one looks especially tasty.
I love Powerade! The blue and red ones are my favorite.

Love the snacks! We don’t do the drink anymore due to the food coloring but I really used to drink it for the heavy sports days!
