Both of my kids are active in sports. In my house, my back porch is filled with cleats and athletic equipment. Making sure my children have the right sports equipment is only one part of team mom job. The other, is making sure my children have the proper game time snack.

When you’re out on the soccer field your children need plenty of water to keep hydrated. In between games I make sure to have additional snacks so my daughter and her team can avoid the concession stand. Instead I can pick up a 12 pack of 12 ounce POWERADE® and creative a fun team snack for my favorite ball players.

After being rained out for the last 2 weeks, I went to Walmart and picked up 2-12 pack of 12 ounce bottles POWERADE® plus a variety of fruit for my daughter’s teammates. POWERADE® has ION4® Advanced Electrolyte System helps replenish four electrolytes lost in sweat: sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium.

Not only is it more affordable than other sports drinks, POWERADE® is also formulated with Vitamins B3, B6, & B12 to support energy metabolism, and a 6% carbohydrate solution to help provide energy to working muscles.

Fruit Kabobs are easy to make and will have the team cheering for more. I purchased a variety of fruit that my kids love and used plastic straws to assembled and hold our fruit kabobs in place. A little fruit goes a long way, but you can easily substitute some of the fruit I used, for things like apples and grapes.

Good after game snacks for the kids. I know our league won’t let us handle fruit or bake anything for them. Everything has to be store bought. We definitely get powerade or gatorade though for them.

Our leagues won’t let us do this, but I so wish they would. We have to do store bought stuff, but I do bring in fresh fruit like halo’s and of course little powerade bottles! I love those kabobs, they are adorable and would be cute for lunches since I can’t do them as a sideline snack. :-)
