Save on Thanksgiving Dinner By Choosing Walmart- AFBF Report

I LOVE to save money while shopping. Unfortunately with being a busy mother, wife and working full-time in healthcare (not to mention blogging 5 days a week) my “extra” time is stretch to full capacity. My grocery monthly bill is horrible. I try to save money where I can, but heading all over town from one store to the next is not a possibility. Convenience shopping can cost a pretty penny so I have rely on one sop shopping. It’s something that works for my family to ensure we are getting a good value, convenience of shopping 1 day a week, and saving valuable time that I can use to focus on being an involved mother, wife, and coworker.

Recently The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) recently reported that Americans will pay $49.48 to feed 10 people this Thanksgiving. Even though I think that paying under $50 is a great value, I think stretching that out even further is possible. And, it is! Shopping at Walmart will save more than 25 percent for the same Thanksgiving meal, spending $36.72 nationally. The extra money you can, you can use to spend on hats & mitten for your little one or maybe donate some food items to your local food bank.

As a former deal blogger not to long ago, factoring availability and time can make a huge difference on my decision to purchase an item. One thing about Walmart is that you know your going to find the products your looking for. no back-ordered items & no empty shelves. I also know that when I double check my receipt, finding a reduction is instant. I love that I’m not going to be in line at Customer Service for a item that did not ring up on “sale”. “We aren’t in the business of high-low pricing or gimmicks like pre-qualifiers and loyalty cards.” said Jack Sinclair, executive vice president of grocery, Walmart. “Our goal is to provide customers with low prices on everything, every day. The holiday season is no exception.” That is something you know Walmart can give us each and everyday this Holiday Season.

Price Match Guarantee is something you can depend on this Christmas & Thanksgiving. In the past, I have gone from store to store to save a few pennies on select items. I stopped doing that once I realized I can go to Walmart and get all my favorite Thanksgiving Dinner items on sale with one stop shopping. I just bring my competing store circular and my cashier knows exactly what to do. “To give our customers added confidence that they will get the lowest price, our ad match guarantee will continue to be in effect throughout the 2012 holiday season – and will include all of our customers’ Thanksgiving fixings and holiday entertaining needs at low prices – helping families to save money this holiday season,” Sinclair added.

To find out more information about Walmart’s weekly holiday meal savings by clicking on the “My Local Walmart” application on Walmart’s Facebook page.

Just think of all the money AND time you will save this week. I can see more family-time in my future, how about you??

I do love that Walmart price matches, that makes them stand out among their competitors, particularly at Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Thanks for the great post!
