Breakfast Energy Smoothie - Nestle Carnation Breakfast Essentials 50 Years of Breakfast Across America #50YearsofBreakfast #ad

My mami used to wake up every morning and fix us a big hearty breakfast. When I was little, our breakfast menu consisted of huevos rancheros, chroizo con huevos or huevos rancheros con mole. Not that I don’t love my kids but my teenage daughter wakes up no later than 5:30a.m every morning to catch the school bus. For our family, that is very early! In fact, my husband and I wake up at 5a.m just to make sure she is up and getting ready for school each day.

I wish I could ay that I fix her a hot breakfast before school like my mother did but I don’t. Luckily for me, she is not hungry at that time of day. But since breakfast is a vital part of our day, I opt to make her an instant breakfast like a fruit smoothie which can give her the energy she needs in the morning and the focus she needs to do well in school.

Nestlé Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder comes in 3 powder flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry. While I enjoy all three flavors, I like to buy the vanilla so I can mix and match flavors when making my favorite smoothie recipe.

Every weekend I make a big breakfast for my family. Since we have 11 chickens in our backyard, breakfast items are always on hand. But during the week or when I travel, Carnation Breakfast Essentials is an easy way and convenient way to satisfy our early morning hunger.

My teenage daughter is so used to having a Carnation Breakfast Essentials smoothie that she can fix it herself when I am out of town. Along with the Carnation Breakfast Essentials, all of the ingredients I use can be purchased at Walmart. I buy a few pounds of bananas, a box of Carnation Breakfast Essentials, milk and yogurt every week. a bag of wheat germ can last our family almost an entire month if not more. Honey goes a long way and is probably already in your panty or cupboard.

I use vanilla or plain yogurt but if you find flavored yogurt on sale or mark down, you can purchase that as well. The key is to make sure all of your ingredients are low in calorie and low in sugar. Add 1/2 of ice to create a nice blended smoothie or leave as it for a hearty shake.

My children deserve the best but an instant breakfast like our energy breakfast smoothie can give them the fuel they need to start their day off successfully. Besides, I can make chroizo con huevos for dinner instead.

Who would you give your free box of Carnation Breakfast Essentials to? What type of breakfast smoothies does your family enjoy?

Unfortunately I barely have time to make myself coffee in the morning, let alone a breakfast for the family!! This sounds like the perfect solution for busy moms. I will definitely have to try these smoothies for myself and the kids.
