National Mom’s Nite Out Event Esplanade Mall- Kenner, La.

Across the nation, May 10th, 2012 marked the 3rd Annual National Mom’s Nite Out Event. Through local retailer, private parties, and across various social media platforms, National Mom’s Nite Out united mothers nationwide to celebrate motherhood.

This year, I had to pleasure of Live Tweeting throughout my local National Mom’s Nite Out Event held at Simon Malls- Esplande Mall in Kenner, Louisiana. My friend Angel aka Semi-Single Mom tagged along for a fun evening to celebrate Mothers. In addition to live tweeting, Blogging, Babies & the Bayou had a Giveaway for a Mother’s Survival Kit Gift Basket.

The event had various venders from the Esplanade Mall, including Mom-Entrepreneurs within the New Orleans Area. Guest enjoyed food samplings,4 fashion shows, mini makeovers, and hair styling from newly opened Nola Hair Salon.

Throughout the entire event the Esplanade Mall had various giveaways sponsored by the vendors throughout the Mall. Participants also received a swag bag to commemorate National Mom’s Nite Out.

The event had a great turnout, but I was most impressed by the Esplanade Staff. Brent, the Mall Manager & Lindsey, Director of Business Developing & Marketing were very impressive throughout the event. Not only were they friendly & welcoming throughout the entire event to the vendors & guest, but they were having fun & professional at the same time. The Esplanade Security team was a few feet away from us throughout the entire evening and several times had asked us if we needed any assistance.

We had a great time, had the privilege to meet some amazing mothers, & were just as excited as winners were announced throughout the evening. My only regret was that I don’t live in closer proximity to the Esplanade Mall. I totally had Mall Envy! :)

Did you attend a National Mom’s Nite out in your Area? I hope everyone had a fantastic Mother’s Day. Don’t forget to take a little time for yourself throughout the year!

Thank you to Maria Bailey & Staff over at Mom-Select.com for connecting me with Mom’s Nite Out as a Blogger for Local Events

I went to the Mom’s nite out at our local Mall. I think it was thier first year. It wasn’t packed, I got there at five when it started. Some of the participating stores were still settting up thier areas. The makeovers and manicures were set up. We got a tote bag with some coupons. The malls facebook page made it sound so much better. I did not stay too long, but next year am hopefull for a better set up.
