One of my favorite aspects of Thanksgiving is being so very grateful for the people I have in my life. And although I show my love and appreciation to them on a daily basis, I also love to think of a unique gift for them every Christmas. It may not be much, but their present is something I put time and effort into either making or purchasing.
Buying for the child may seem like an easy task, but getting your monies worth out a toy or gadget is something you sometimes take a chance in buying. Have you ever purchased a gift for a child only to find out it came in a gazillion pieces, or the toy was much smaller than it appeared on television or print ads? Or even worse, bought the must-have toy only to find out it broke before the Christmas ornaments were packed away?
Last week I had the opportunity to attend “by invite only” a Mom’s Holiday Helper Event. Guest were able to check out the latest trends, the hottest toys that will be available in stores this holiday season. In addition, we were able to sample some delicious holiday Nola Style desserts & appetizers. From muffalatas, crawfish penne, to bread pudding from Copeland’s.
Three local bloggers, Bridgette from the Experimental Mommy, Renee from What Mommies Need and Linzy from Crawfish Tales have put together a fun festive event where guest had the opportunity to see & test products before they decide to put purchase them for our children or other loved ones.
The event was not only to see the hottest toys and gadgets, but mom’s were also able to see how we can pamper ourselves or at least ask Santa for. From items like Aveda to our favorite Neutrogena items, pampering ourselves should be on the top of Santa’s list!!
I can’t wait to decorate for Christmas! It really is my favorite time of year for many reasons, but spending time with family & friends is always on the top of my Christmas Wish List.
A special thanks to my favorite local bloggers Katy from Bird on the Street & Cara from Peanuts are Evil for making the event fun & full of laughter before, during, bnband after the event a blast!!
