It’s that time of year for us again: Beads, Parades, Music, and Marching

This year I decided not to ride in Krewe of Selene. Although it will be bittersweet, I just couldn’t squeeze in the time to make it worth the money it costs to ride and throw. I regret not riding but I know it’s a choice that needed to be made.

Sarah however did march in the Krewe of Pearls (our small town local parade) and will be marching in a Slidell parade next week. Our families were at the parade route to represent and root Sarah on. She did great, in fact, the whole squad did great. They came home with a First Place trophy for Best Dance/Marchers. Next week will be double the length of the parade so I’m hoping Sarah will recoup in time for next weeks festivities!!

I’m hoping we can hit a few more parades, but we have definitely been partaking in our favorite Mardi Gras pastime: KING CAKE!! Ayeeeeeeee
