CBias Disclosure

“Deep Clean”~~ I hear those words from my dentist everytime I walked through his office door. Over the last 2 years I have had so much dental work done, nothing cosmetic, all preventative or regular maintenance. My bottom teeth are crowded, so they are very susceptible to cavities and almost every 6 months I refill my booster toothpaste prescription (I use the rx only before bedtime), get a new toothbrush & he reminds me how important I deep clean my lower teeth. A manual toothbrush isn’t going to give me the cleaning I need he says, I need a more powerful toothbrush. My dentist always recommends a Philips Sonicare and yet, I always tell him “next time”.

Philips Sonicare Info

I finally gave in and started using a Philips Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush. Within the first few strokes I felt a difference in my teeth. How? The PowerUp Electric toothbrush got in between the small areas in my teeth that is hard to reach with a manual toothbrush. It takes the same amount of time to use my old manual toothbrush but the I could feel more brushstrokes hitting my teeth (and in between my teeth) using the Philips Sonicare PowerUp electric toothbrush. By angling my Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush towards the gum line and making soft gentle strokes, I hit every quadrant which gives my teeth the “clean feeling” all day long.

Oral health is something that I write regularly on my blog. We never went to the dentist as a child. Aside from the added cost that a single mother could not afford, there was a language barrier that resulted in our dental care being pushed to the side. My mother learned to speak English when I was in grade school but by then, my teeth were crowded and were never repaired. My mother always made sure we brushed hour teeth, but I did not know I wasn’t brushing correctly or using the proper instruments. Now that I am a mother myself, finding quality dental instruments and regular checkups/cleaning as always on top of my to-do list.

Quality instruments like the Philips Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush is readily available to the masses and now more than ever affordable. Nothing can substitute a good cleaning from a dental hygienist but now I can get that deep clean I need that I never had as a child. I use a manual toothbrushes to help get my headlights shiny and residue free! See the picture I created below for a visual in hopes you can get your highlights just as clean and shiny as we want our teeth to be.

I made the switch to an electric toothbrush because of dental issues and do not regret it in the least. Love the idea for using an old manual toothbrush, too.

I got my braces off last fall and I love the way my teeth look. I need something like the Philips Sonicare tooth brush to keep my pearly whites looking lovely. Thanks for the review.
