Have you ever heard the saying “Time is Money”? For me, the saying is so true. Managing my time is something that I have always had to work on. When it comes to my children’s health I have to find time in our busy scheduled to get thing like sports physicals, immunizations and back to school supplies. Recently I had one day off during the work-week to get the majority of our back to school supplies, get my daughter’s new glasses ordered and pick up medications. Luckily for me, I was able to run by Walgreens to run most of my errands for the day.
I work in healthcare so my children know that immunizations, eye glasses, dental appointments etc are normal health routines we need to have done. In fact, when my children were much younger we called them “healthy shots”. Immunizations can be overwhelming to many school aged children but it can protect them from whooping cough, meningitis and much more. My children understood that if something protects you, you do not need to fear it. At almost 14 years old, Sarah still calls them “healthy shots”.
Right now, Walgreens is partnering with United Nations Foundation Shot@Life Campaign. The United Nations Foundation Shot@Life Campaign believes that child’s life can be changed every 20 seconds by having vaccines available in hopes to decrease vaccine-preventable childhood deaths. Walgreens also believes every child a shot at a healthy life so they are participating in a new campaign and wants to get YOU involved.
When you get a flu shot or any other immunization at Walgreens or Healthcare Clinic now through October 14th, Walgreens will help provide a life-saving vaccine to children who need it the most. Through the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life Campaign, Walgreens and consumers, we can supply up to three million vaccines
How do you participate? Just come in, get a shot and give a shot.
Walgreens accepts most insurances and no appointment is needed. Plus you can earn 500 points for each immunization. Bar-gain!
Walgreens is my happy place! Why? Because of the ease and convenience it brings to my busy work week. Who wouldn’t love the words “open 24 hours a day”?!? But now I can pick up school supplies, get my daughter’s vaccines and save a life! I think I made the most of my day off.

I saw WalGreens started giving immunizations and think it’s a great idea. I know there was some controversy around the idea but it’s so much easier for people to stay healthy then going sit for hours at a doctor’s office.
Thank you so much for sharing your expertise and this important program! #client
What an awesome program! We need to stop by Walgreen’s for shots.
I also work in healthcare and know the importance of vaccines. Our hospital recently made it mandatory for all employees to receive flu shots to protect our patients. Only those with religious or dr excemptions won’t have to. I wish I had a Walgreens close to me
I personally feel vaccinations are very important. This sounds like a great campaign!
What a great idea and service to help people keep up to date with their shots. Way easier then trying to get in to see a doctor.
It’s true! Walgreens has done great as a company to be the most convenient convenient store out there! I think this is something you’d appreciate: https://www.etsy.com/listing/93272379/louisiana-poster?
