Gearing Up for Halloween-CostumeSuperCenter.com Review

Despite being in the midst of severe heat, the kids are back in school and planning all sorts of upcoming events in the next few months. Since I’m determine to be ahead of the game(a girl can try, right?), I have decide to start my Halloween shopping early. Locally, our costume selection is very limited. We either pay top dollar for a well made costume, or a decent price for something that is bound to fall apart the first time my kids wear their Halloween costumes. This year I decided to look online in advance for a combination of both quality & affordability.

Since my 8 year old son is pretty easy to gauge in size, I decided to start with him. We went through a few websites and went to CostumeSuperCenter.com for our 2012 Halloween Costume. We found a costume that he liked, and a price I can live with. For $26.99 we were able to get the Men’s Deluxe Avatar Jake Sully Costume. The costume includes: Jacket with attached shirt, pants and mask. The only additional item I would need to buy is the spear and at $10.99 it was something that we can afford to splurge on.

We received our package within 7-10 days and came with all items that were listed. One of the first things I noticed was the quality of the mask. Most masks that are included with many costumes, are very cheaply made. This costume however is made of good quality materials. To me, it resembled the quality of a mask you would purchase additionally versus a mask that was included with the costume. The mask was very detailed, coloring was well blended, and authentic for a Halloween costume.

Next the jacket with attached shirt & pants were made of Lycra & Polyester. The costume has enough thickness that you will not have to worry about bracing the cold elements this October. In fact, since I live in Southeast Louisiana, my son will probably be able to wear shorts under his costume. The stitching was lined properly and doesn’t show possible unraveling after 1 use. I purchased a standard size costume in the Men’s Department for him. Most costumes run small and I was afraid that this costume will be the same, but really it is fairly true to size. My 12 year old and she is 5’ft 3″inches. I think anyone over 5′ ft 7″in will need to order the XL costume merely for the length.

One of the things I like about CostumeSuperCenter.com is that they allow for not only costume exchange, but they also pay for shipping BOTH ways!! You can also receive free shipping for any order over $50 using a coupon code as well. They have a huge variety of popular trendy Halloween costumes for 2012. From Monster High to Avengers, you’ll be able to find a costume your child will love & a price you can afford. Don’t forget to remind your children of Halloween Safety Tips this year.

I am halfway through my 2012 Halloween Costume shopping & it’s not even September. I definitely feel one step ahead of the game. Now if I can remember to decorate this year, I will be surprised!!

What are your kids planning for their Halloween Costume?
