Wordless Wednesday- New Orleans Butterfly Edition

August 29, 2012 by Maria

Recently I had to visit the opportunity to visit theAudubon Institute Butterfly Garden & Insectarium in New Orleans. Although I have visited the Insectarium several times before, I always enjoy the butterfly garden exhibit. Fortunately, the Audubon Nature Institute in New Orleans was a sponsor of the Niche Mommy Conference I attended last week and generously allowed us to visit any of their locations in NOLA. Myself & 3 other bloggers went together to explore the city & visit the Continue Reading

HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA-Call Me Mavy Cover Video

August 8, 2012 by Maria

Hotel Transylvania by Sony Pictures is coming out in theaters on September 28. My family loves to watch animated films at the movies and this looks like a movie the whole family will love! The story takes place in a lavish 5 Stake Resort where monsters can live it up and be themselves without human interference. Dracula has invited several monster friends to help him celebrate his daughter Mavis's 118 birthday. The event is planned to be exceptional fun, but what happens when an "ordinary guy" Continue Reading

Music On A Budget

July 31, 2012 by Maria

My daughter plays the clarinet for the school band, is in chorus and recently started private piano lessons. We found a great selection of 15 piano books, mic stand, and 2 microphones with all attachments, plus extra mic clips at a recent garage sale. Great part about our purchase is that one of the mic's is a wireless microphone which can get pretty pricey at the music stores. Grand Total: $12!! Do you have a music lover in your family? If so, how do you save money on their hobby? By the Continue Reading

To Attend or Not Attend?

May 3, 2011 by Maria

Last Month, we had a big blog conference here in New Orleans. Of course when I found out about Mom 2.0 Summit tickets were already sold out.Blog Conferencere are few and far between in our area, so I was really disappointed that I was not able to attend the event. But at the end of August 2011, New Orleans will be the host of #IFBC. Although #IFBC is a food blogger event, I noticed that there are many good writing/blogging sessions that would be useful to any blogger.I am still not for sure on Continue Reading

Taylow Swift Concert

July 14, 2010 by Maria

Charlotte, Sarah, and I went to the Taylor Swift concert last night!! We had such a great time. I love that Sarah enjoys music (although she enjoys it a little too loud! lol)!!! We had a girl's evening. We out to eat in Biloxi, went to Barnes & Nobles for an hour or so, then headed over to the concert. On days when I'm stressed about where I have to be and by what time, evening like this make it so worthwhile!! Continue Reading
