Destin Emerald Grand Resort

Emerald Grande #InDestin

I have to admit that one of my favorite parts about traveling is the food. Not only am I excited that I don’t have to cook for my loved ones but that I can enjoy local cuisine not available in my own hometown. For me, one of the highlights to staying at The Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village in Destin, Florida is that they have a full array of restaurants just steps from the nearest elevator. During my recent stay not only did I get to enjoy some amazing food, but the scenery is priceless. Most restaurants are beach front and guests can enjoy the nice breeze and calm ambiance of nature’s perfect backdrop.

During our stay we enjoyed Destin restaurants like Grande Vista Bar & Grill, Harry T’s, Starbucks, Crab Island Cantina, Jim N’ Nick’s and La Famiglia on the Harbor. No reservations were required and the dress code for all were casual. in fact, there were times we came straight from the beach directly to a restaurant table. Personally I have no dietary restrictions for myself or my family members but throughout my stay several of my travel mates had various dietary restrictions that were always met and exceed their expectations. Don’t forget you can also enjoy a meal or two meal from their in-house full service restaurant or order room service to delivery in your rooms.

If you are in the mood for something quick or cater to your own needs, don’t forget about the large kitchen available in your own room accommodations. Not only will you be saving some money in the process but you can be specific in your family’s dietary needs. My roommates & I during this trip enjoyed making our own coffee in the morning but aside from that, we were not about to turn an oven on! But had my own family be traveling with me, I would have most certainly put the large modern kitchen to good use.

Home may be where the heart is, but my mouth & stomach were feeling the love while #InDestin!

Sounds like a great place! I totally agree with you. One of the things I really enjoy about traveling is the not cooking part. We don’t eat out much at home and it is such a nice treat to have a break!
