If you didn’t share a pictures about it, did it really happen? HA, Of course it did! I’m guilty of not sharing every event, festival or attraction I experience with my family. I’m in the moment and oftentimes, I even leave the house without my phone! I know, crazy right…. but this time I’m making it a point to share an annual experience my husband and I use as a perfect date night without the kids.
Every Spring we attend the Jazz’n the Vines concert series located in Bush, Louisiana. Only an hour away from New Orleans, Pontchartrain Vineyards is located on the Northshore in Saint Tammany Parish and nestled in the outskirts the picturesque the vineyard has been crafting Louisiana’s Wine since 1991.
During the day, you can visit the vineyard, winery and tasting room (located adjacent to the estates vineyard) and enjoy a unique, local wine experience. Or you can attend any of the annual events like I did. Every Spring and Fall, Pontchartrain Vineyards presents their Jazz’n the Vines season with a special performance by local jazz inspired bands at an super affordable price.
We purchased our tickets online and received an “online only offer”, 2 admissions the Jazz’n Vines and a bottle of wine for just $25! We brought friends along and had an adult only evening but kids are welcomed as well. The online offer is available only until online ticket sales end which is 3 pm the day of the show. You can bring a picnic snack OR take advantage of the available food rucks. Tip: Lines can get super long for food truck purchases. Next time I’ll bring our own picnic snack!
If you’re traveling to the New Orleans area or a local looking for a fun event to attend this Spring, Jazz’n the Vines is a Northshore music concert series and the only place in the New Orleans metro area where you can enjoy regional music under the stars and among the vines! Gates open at 5 pm after the winery has closed between 4 and 5 pm.
