Jamaica
This Caribbean nation is much more than sun and fun and rum. Try some jerk chicken, stewed goat, oxtail, or try ackee (a fruit) fried with a little codfish and a glass of ginger beer. You may also want to try a drink called sorrel which is a type of hibiscus tea.
Germany
Not only does Germany offer a beautiful countryside and rich history, but the food is amazing as well. Whether you have a taste for strudel or maybe some pretzels or sausages, or how about some breads, potatoes, noodles, cakes, and of course — beer. If you’re a fan of sauerkraut or asparagus, you will have plenty to enjoy and you can even find a few vegan and vegetarian dishes if you prefer.
San Francisco, California
San Francisco is a foodie’s delight with Valencia Street being a must for tasting the city’s offerings. From Indian cuisine to chocolate — you can find it in San Francisco!
Croatia
Croatia is a hidden jewel for foodies in central Europe. The diversity of the culture within this country means that the culinary delights will vary, depending upon where you visit within the country. Some examples that you will find in this mish-mash of culture and culinary delights are seafood, truffles, mushrooms, meats and cheeses, noodles and of course an assortment of wines, beers, and other spirits.
Thailand
How about a little lemongrass chicken in Thailand? This dish comes in banana leaves, making it even more scrumptious. Bangkok may be one of the best hot spots for a foodie with the assorted foods and culinary creations featuring coconut milk, assorted spices, fish and shellfish and a whole lot more. Thailand is a must if you’re looking to combine your love of food with a great place to visit.
Italy
You will find more than just delicious handmade pasta in Italy. Don’t forget to try some cappuccino and gelato. From town to town, you are sure to find a variety of culinary creations that will tickle your taste buds and delight your stomach. In Tuscany you will find an assortment of wines and delectable meats as well as stuffed ravioli and sheep’s-milk cheeses. In Sicily you will find foods that draw influences from Spanish, Arab, and Greek dishes.
