If you read my last post, you know how much fun I had on the Steamboat Natchez. My family was able to reconnect and enjoy our tour along the mighty Mississippi. This Saturday June 8th, 2013, the Steamboat Natchez is having a Family Day Event. The cruise will feature children’s entertainment, including a caricaturist, face painter, shanties and sea tales by Papillon and his pirate friends, trivia games with prizes and more. Kids can take a special tour to receive the River Heritage Patch. A themed food menu is available for all family members. Menu items include a Paddlin’ Dog “Hot Dog” bar with toppings, Steamin’ Macaroni and Cheese, Pizza Bites and Captain’s Delight dessert. Non-alcoholic frozen drinks are also available for purchase. It’s a perfect way to kick off summer & take an early afternoon stroll down the Mississippi. When you dock, you can spend the day in the City we all love so much!
Steamboat NATCHEZ (Toulouse Street & the Mississippi River)

Boarding starts at 2:00 pm
Cruise from 2:30 pm – 4:30 p.m.
The cost for the cruise is $15 for adults and $7.50 for children six to 12 years old. Food and Beverages are optional purchases. Children under six ride for free. One lucky passenger will be randomly selected to win a private tour of the pilot house, captain’s hat and a whistle. How fun is that?!?

My step children fly in that morning in from North Carolina and our plans were to take them to aquarium but this sounds much better. They have always wanted to take a cruise on one of these boats but we never had the time or money! This would be a great surprise for them!
