Disclosure: I’m always looking for ways to save when I travel and knew my readers would enjoy learning more about the company. I did use them on my recent Atlanta visit and hope to use them again in the future. I was provided with 2 media/press booklet to use and learn more about the saving and service they provide to their clients.
It’s no secret that visiting tourist attractions during a vacation can use up a large chunk of your travel budget. One way to save money if your vacation destination is a city is to purchase a CityPASS®. The CityPASS® can save you money on admission fees to attractions you plan to visit. Check out these pros and cons before you make your decision about buying a CityPASS®.
One of the greatest benefits of a CityPASS® is the savings it provides. With a CityPASS® you get an adult or child’s admission to specific attractions in the city. The CityPASS is usually good for five or six attractions. Pro: The savings is significant for the attractions. Con: The listed attractions may not be the ones you really want to visit.
CityPASS® is Good for Several Days
The CityPASS® is valid for nine days after you use it the first time. That is nine consecutive days, so you don’t have to squeeze everything in as soon as you arrive at your city of destination. Pro: You have plenty of time to visit everything. Con: If you aren’t able to make each attraction on your visit, you don’t get a refund on the attractions you had to miss.
Skip the Long Lines When You Buy a CityPASS®
One of the frustrating things about going to any attraction anywhere is standing in line and waiting. When you are visiting with your family, that can be especially frustrating if you have small children in your group. One of the really great things about the CityPASS is that you don’t need to stand in line for tickets — you already have them in your CityPASS®. Pro: Skipping those ticket lines so you can get right in and enjoy your visit! Con: Is there really any drawback to this aspect of the CityPASS®? We can’t think of one!
CityPASS® is Easy to Buy
You can buy a CityPASS® online and receive your vouchers by email or you can have your ticket booklets mailed to you. You can also drop in at any of the attractions to buy a CityPASS® when you arrive in the city you are visiting. Pros: The great advantage of so many delivery options is that you can plan your vacation far in advance or you can put together a last minute trip. Either way, you can take advantage of the savings. Cons: There really aren’t any.
If you’re planning a vacation for a larger city in North America, be sure to check into the availability of a CityPASS® for that city. They are available for most large cities throughout the United States and there is even a CityPASS® available for Toronto. The cost savings is about 40 percent and except for a couple of minor cons, the pros for this vacation purchase are stacked. If you’re looking for a way to squeeze in some great attractions on a budget, this is probably your best bet.
