There were so many wonderful, history rich destinations of my recent trip to Tallahassee that I couldn’t possibly add them all in to one post so I decided to dedicate this stand-alone piece to the stop we made to the Mission San Luis, Florida’s Apalachee-Spanish Living History Museum.
I just have to say how amazing it was to have been able to visit Mission San Luis and to soak up the history that it housed. Being there and getting a first-hand taste of Florida’s Apalachee-Spanish background was so much better than simply sitting at home and reading about it from behind a computer screen or reading a book about the topic.
You’ll experience the sights, sounds and culture that surrounded the Apalachee-Spanish mission firsthand and leave with a plethora of knowledge that you definitely wouldn’t get from a history book.

I really would like to go visit there and experience what life was like back then! Too bad they could not have remained friends.

I have always absorbed more through visiting than reading, just like you. Looks like you learned a lot and had a great time too!
