Tips for a Quick & Easy Morning Routine w: the help of  Hillshire Farms & State Fair #FuelforSchool #CollectiveBias {ad}

I can almost hear my mom, “!Tiempo para la cama!”. Every night before school we had to be prepared for school the next day before bedtime. There was zero fussing in the morning. No whining, complaining or crying before we left for school in the morning. It’s not just because we knew better, but it’s due to having the proper bedtime routine and morning routine.

Now that my babies are older, desayuno or breakfast is a breeze. The kids wake up instantly and start their rutina de la mañana, morning routine. I may get a few grumpy looks but they are all smiles once they have something in their stomach.

My oldest will start her day with a smoothie or piece of fruit but her stomach is very sensitive in the morning. My son however is ready to eat me out of house and home! So on evenings when we have a light dinner, he wakes up ready to fill his stomach quickly before the bus arrives. My husband also wakes up extremely hungry.

I used to make my own croissant sandwiches and store in the freezer until my family was ready to pop them in the microwave but the ingredients were costly and time consuming. After a few weeks, I started to purchase Jimmy Dean® Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwiches and other high protein breakfast foods found in our local Walmart Freezer. We rarely hit the drive thru so purchasing Jimmy Dean® products allows us to enjoy delicious, high quality products at our convenience.

This week is no different, I found Jimmy Dean® sausage, egg & cheese croissant sandwiches and Jimmy Dean® pancakes & sausage on a stick plus added a some fruit to start their mornings off right! After school my son is famished so I also picked up a box of State Fair® Classic 16 Ct. BEEF Corn Dogs for evenings when we would be on the road for sporting events. On game night, dinner comes late, so we need a little protein until we have dinner together.

We enjoy State Fair® products because their delicious corn dogs features a signature honey-sweetened cornbread batter. Your kids will enjoy the flavor while you enjoy the convenience of fining State Fair® Corn Dogs in the freezer section at Walmart.

Although having a great rutina de la mañana, morning routine and after-school snack solution, bedtime is crucial. Using some of my mother’s favorite tips, I created a bedtime routine that I would work on when my children were little. We would use a checklist before bed together, then I would allow los niños to go through the bed time checklist on their own. Over time, the checklist went away and my kids would be prepared in the evening which would made morning transition a breeze!

    My husband likes the Jimmy Dean sandwiches. They are great for when he does not have time to make a full breakfast.

    Great way to get ready for the next day! I like to lay out my clothing the night before (like you suggested!), get all my paperwork and work stuff ready too, and sitting in my purse next to the door.

    You’ve got a fantastic checklist for bedtime preparation. I was reading the breakfast routine and got diverted by the picture of the 100% beef corndogs. I really, really like corndogs and will look for them.

    Both a good morning and nighttime routine is key for our family’s success. We make lunches the night before which really helps too!

    Having a solid routine is so important especially when kids are younger. Waking up to this breakfast sandwich would make me want to go to be early for morning to come more quickly!

    My kids are pretty good about bedtime. It’s getting up in the morning that is always a chore. Thankfully a hearty and yummy breakfast like those croissant sandwiches perks them right up.

    I’ve discovered that even just for myself, I am better in the morning if I followed a great bedtime routine – tidying up so I don’t wake up to a mess, washing my face so I don’t feel gross, and if we’re going somewhere that day, pre-packing the diaper bag.

    It was hard for us to go from 3-5 days of school. So much planning & preparation are needed.
    We spend time Sunday nights planning clothes & lunches for the weeks.
