I’ve Got Junk in My Truck! $50 Visa Gift Card Giveaway Ends 12_5 #InviernoSeguro

I treat my vehicle is like a member of my family. Why? Because I have depend on it everyday and like my home office on wheels. Aside from using my minivan daily, it has to keep us safe and be as efficient and functional as possible. But just like my teen can’t keep her room clean (don’t get my started), my minivan seems to get shafted in the cleaning department. My mobile office sometimes look like a wreck! But when we travel, our trunk has to be thoroughly cleaned out.

So if your like me, this is the perfect time of year to clean out the trunk and get rid of your junk. My kids & I recently cleaned out only to find hidden treasures from forever ago! Things like ear buds, empty chip bags, crushed water bottles and my personal favorite: papers I needed to sign for school. Isn’t that sweet of them?!?! I know I’m not the only one finding old french fries on the floorboards. I recently saw a fun article called: 13 randomly weird things list on Goodneighbors.com. It was an instant sense of relief knowing I’m not the lone ranger in the junk in the truck movement.

Emergency Road Survival Supplies #InviernoSeguro

Now that it’s winter I take my recently cleaned out trunk and add safety supplies to the back of my ride. We already have emergency supplies in our stow and go, but I my kids to have access to several items in an emergency situation.

We rarely get below 20F degrees in Southeast Louisiana but I still prepare my vehicle for winter weather and also store our survival supplies in the trunk. Being a Girl Scout & Girl Scout Leader for all those years taught me a thing or two about being prepared so I create a survival pack and place it in our minivan in case of emergency.

I found a old battery in my trunk when I bought my first car at 19. The crazy thing is I was on my way to New Orleans and had some blankets in my trunk, I stopped at a gas station to top up on fluids and got me a blanket from my trunk. Within 10-15 min my legs started to burn, guess what the battery was leaking acid and burned through my pants!! I had to pull over on the high way and change!! It was horrible!! Never leave a battery in your car throw that junk away!! Lol,
