How to Get An Unbelievable Discount in a Last Minute Cruise #BayouTravel

My family LOVES to cruise! You can search my other cruise articles to learn more on WHY we love to cruise but since I love a good deal, getting a cruise as a great rate is a must for my family. My family does quite a bit of travel throughout the year. Since my husband (and I when I was working outside the home) use all of our vacation very quickly that means we sometimes travel at a loss, loss of income if we exceed our vacation days.

While that may stop some from traveling outside of their allowed work days, my husband and I realized losing a little bit of money was well-worth the overall feeling we receive when we return rested and rejuvenated. But it also comes with a price, so we budget and save before leaving on a cruise. One way we do that is to look for the best over-all price on our cruise and search for last minute cruises.

Last minute cruise mean the best deals at a very low price. Your cruise liner will still give you the accommodations, the food, entertainment and many other services with a smaller price tag. How are you going to find the best last minute deal?

Be flexible. Remember that these cruise liners must fill in the rooms of their powerboat. Of course, they will be offering the vacancies in a very low price to avoid delay of their trip. There are also last minute cancellations. In this event, the cruise liner will try to fill in the rooms for the ones that cancel their trip. Are there some things to consider when considering a last minute cruise? Definitely!

Tips when searching for the great last minute cruise deals:

Timing is Everything

You can start inquiring two months before your vacation date and have a regular monitor of it since special promos and price reduction are grabbed immediately.

Be flexible

If you can change you vacation dates by a couple of days, this will help you save more money.

Be adventurous
If there are great deals offered by an unusual cruise to a place you have not been to, grab it! This way, you are not only saving your money but also you are giving yourself a chance to go to a place new to you. They are usually offered introductory prices that are relatively cheap.

Do your homework

To keep you informed of the latest deals of the cruises, try to look for them on the internet. The internet always updates information on cruise deals when cruise lines advertise for available openings.

Be determine

Know the cruise you really want. There are many types of cruises available offering a variety of themes. You should be certain about choosing the kind of cruise to assure of your total satisfaction.

#BayouTravel Tip: I go to the website on my mobile device and take a snapshot of the potential cruise I am looking to book i.e ship info, dates and price for my family. I use that for reference when a last minute booking deal occurs. If the info matches with a heavy discount, I snag the deal.

Sometimes I feel like I stalk various websites looking for the ultimate last minute cruise, but my deeds are always rewarded by having an incredible experience! It takes time, but a little work now can save your family money in the long run.

Have you experienced a last minute cruise? Did you receive a great deal?
