If you remember, I have a special connection to the Hotel Monteleone so it warms my heart to know that others can have their own fond memories at the historic hotel. Starting the week after Thanksgiving, the Hotel Monteleone transforms into a magical holiday wonderland as the 200 block of Royal Street showcases their festive side. As in the years past, the lobby and hotel interior will be beautifully decorated with garland, Christmas lights as well as other exquisite holiday decor.
But the Hotel Monteleone isn’t just for adults! The Hotel Monteleone is instrumental in creating holiday memories for the children of New Orleans (and travelers) as well. Mark your calendars because Monte the Lion’s Children’s Holiday Party is December 7th, 2013. Two seatings for Monte the Lion’s Children’s Holiday Party occurs at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Some of favorite Christmas characters will join Monte including Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and of course, Santa’s elves. Mrs. Claus will on hand to read classic Christmas tales and a trumpeter will lead guests in a musical parade. Savory treats, games and caroling will fill the air with joy, and each child will receive a holiday gift of a Monte the Lion stuffed animal. The cost is $58.00 per adult and $43.00 per child. My favorite memory is looking at all the Christmas lights and displays around town. .. magical to a child and still makes me warm and giggly
My favorite memory is the year I had my baby and we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the hospital. She is my miracle and blessing and what a better way to celebrate Christmas with a special bundle of joy. In all my life I have enjoyed every single Christmas but Christmas of 2009 will be the most memorable one for me ever in my entire life time. Can’t get any better than that. Having a Christmas baby is very special!! Loved it even though I may have missed out celebrating with family that year being in the hospital having a baby was and is the best thing ever!
I have such amazing memories of the Hotel Monteleone throughout my lifetime, including it being the setting of the wedding and reception of my dreams. Now it is my honor to be able to introduce my little girl to all of the wonders of Hotel Monteleone during the holiday season that I have such fond memories of as a child. I would love to win tickets for my little girl and I to attend the Hotel Monteleone Monte’s Holiday Tea Party – we have been to visit the Hotel a number of times and she is so proud to always tell her guests it’s where her mommy and daddy got married. She would love to spend some time at the hotel and I know she would be filled with excitement to meet Monte the Lion for the first time.
I have a few memories of this hotel. I can’t go into it but it was a part of my childhood.
Waking up every Christmas morning & seeing all those toys in front the tree

My fav memory is driving around looking at Christmas lights with my kids while listening to Christmas music on the radio!
I love being with family while listening to Christmas music!
