Last but certainly not least, I am calling for all of my fellow CNN News fans! You don’t have to be a CNN News fan to appreciate how the newsroom works. We recently visited the Inside CNN Studio Tour which is part of the CityPASS ticket bundle. I LOVED the CityPASS experience! It is a great to visit several museums at discounted price. You can purchase your CityPASS booklet in advance or your desired Atlanta area attraction day.
The Inside CNN Studio Tour is perfect if you’re looking for a break from the chaotic schedule your family has hammered out or a tour any die hard news fan can appreciate. My family thoroughly enjoyed the tour and spoke about it for days! In fact, they said it was one of their favorite museums/tours throughout our recent family vacation. It gave us a behind the scenes prospective that made us appreciate all of the hard work that goes on into a single news program.
The Inside CNN Studio Tour is a 50 minute long, guided tour geared specially towards the news stations followers and fans. The CNN Center is open to the public and entrance to the center is completely free to visitors. Some of the noteworthy options for visitors of the CNN Center include:
- The Morning Express with Robin Meade
- CNN Studio Tour
- CNN VIP Tour
Two things to consider when planing your upcoming Inside CNN Studio Tour, there is a lot of walking involved! Guests will be climbing several flights of stairs up & down but it is well-worth the experience. It is not challenging in any way,it’s something to consider if you have weak knees or have some challenges that would prohibit you from enjoying the experience.
It never fails, every summer I know a family or two who’s child (or the parents themselves) have broken a leg or knee and are in a full length cast. I’m clumsy so I can totally relate! I would call ahead to see if they are handicap accessible.
Atlanta’s CNN HQ offices also have several dining options. We went first thing in the morning but had we known there was an abundance of food options, we would have planned our visit around lunch time! Also, the CNN Penny Machine is no longer there! It is now a Cartoon Network Penny Machine Press. Why? My pressed penny collection needs a CNN penny.
Seriously though, aside from that you can find a large parking lot across the street from CNN HQ offices and is perfectly located across the street from Centennial Olympic Park and nearby Atlanta’s World of Coca-Cola attraction. with direct access to a nearby parking lot and beautiful park, you can brown bag it and enjoy the afternoon at the park.
