When we travel my family and I are always looking for evening entertainment. Now that my family has matured, we are non-stop when traveling. No nap time required, Yay! so when we have the opportunity to add a theatrical show during trip, we jump on it.
During my recent visit to Orlando, Niche Parent conference attendees had the opportunity to a special Blue Man Group performance at Universal Studios, Orlando. My co-worker had just seen Blue Man Group in Las Vegas and raved about it earlier this month so I was pretty excited!
Blue Man Group was founded in the late 1980’s and has produced theatrical shows, concerts, dvd’s, audio recordings and more. Blue Man Group fundamentally is a group of actor-musicians who wear bald caps and uniform blue makeup but use musical instruments
The electrifying show consists of NO spoken language. Music, facial expressions and movements, dancing encompass the entirety of the show but never strays away from pure entertainment with various percussion to keep you dancing in your seats. It’s perfect for family of all ages and various languages and cultures.
If you not sure about Blue Man Group tickets for your family, ask around. With international shows and performances in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando and more, you are bound to find a friend that has been captivated by their stage presence and laughed the evening away.
As a mother, I can say I enjoyed how they incorporated life, science and at times teased our usage of technology versus true conversation. 25 million people worldwide can’t be wrong!
If you are not planning an upcoming vacation or getaway, don’t worry! I love that they are taking Blue Man Group on Tour. You can catch Blue Man Group in a city near you.
As if the show itself isn’t exciting enough, we were also treated to a exclusive after-show meet and greet, including a photo opp. Naturally I had to catch a Blue Man Selfie to share on social media.
No photography is allowed until the end of the show! All of my photos were taken during the finale.
If you are planing an upcoming visit to Orlando be sure to look for available tickets at Universal Studios, Orlando. The meet and greet was a great opportunity to see the performers first hand. Since cast members stay in character at all times while in makeup, meaning after shows they won’t speak to audience member but their “autograph” instead would be a smudge of blue paint. Then, you’re an honorary Blue Man!
