If your anything like me, your on a quest to find the perfect combination for your family’s dinner menu. Health, convenience, affordability and taste are the key ingredients to a successful dinner solution. Monday though Friday I come home every evening at 5:30 p.m. Once I hit the front door, it’s Game Time! My kids are starving and my husband & I are exhausted. I’m making healthier choices in our diet by replacing fatty ingredients and adding more natural products that contain less preservatives.

One easy change was adding avocados in place of mayo or dressing. My kids & I already love Haas avocados so Wholly Guacamole is a simple & easy change into our diet. Wholly Guacamole can be kept in your freezer for up to 3 months. It is also gluten free, has no preservatives and is full of magnesium, vitamin E, folic acid, and lutien (a natural antioxidant). But you can’t live off guacamole alone.

We are not big ground beef eaters. I occasionally make a meat sauce for dinner but the fat in the ground meat (even sirloin cut) gives me acid reflux. So I tried adding turkey in place of ground meat and have seen a huge reduction in relux episodes. Jennie-O Turkey has unveiled several new turkey burger flavors that can create a positive transition from ground meat to turkey. Flavors like Jalapeno Seasoning w/Monterrey Jack Cheese or Spices w/ diced tomatoes and bell peppers, it turns a plain turkey burger and gives it a kick!

Last week after work I decided to make an Avocado Jalapeno Jack Turkey Burger. It was my first time using the Jennie-O Turkey Burger and was so nervous that the taste would be too much for my family. I used all my favorite burger ingredients w/ the exception of mayo since I was already using avocado.

Honestly ours is really simple. We love turkey burgers with Wholly Guacamole and lime chips. Add in some broccoli or carrots for the veggie and we are good to go.:)

My girls love avacados, but I’ve never thought to use guacamole – I normally just cut up the avacado and let them eat them. I’ll have to try it. Plus, my girls love dips, so this might be the perfect compromise!

We put fresh salsa in the Wholly Guacamole for a fresh “like-homemade” taste and look. And dip chips or put it on burgers.
