Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration starts this week! If you are looking for an easy way to make lunch fun, you can easily create a bento box. Bento is visually appealing, healthy and not as time consuming as some may think. My kids are 9 & 12 and I still find myself making a boring ham and cheese sandwich into a mini art masterpiece with simple ingredients and fresh fruits/veggies. Give this a shot and let me know how your kids enjoy this Dr. Seuss classic.
Slice Cheddar Cheese
Sliced American Cheese
Leaf Lettuce, shredded thinly
Wilton Candy Eyes (or a dollop of sour cream and black olive slices)
Green, Orange, and Yellow M&Ms
To make the Truffula Trees
Gently push a pretzel rod into the bottom of the cheeseballs and grape tomatoes. Place in the slice of cheddar cheese.
To make the Lorax
Cut an oblong shape out of the flour tortilla. Cut a mustache and eye brows from the American Cheese with kitchen shears. Adhere the mustache, eyebrows, and candy eyes to the tortilla with a little sour cream.
