Traveling to the Smoky Mountain Area is always an exciting family journey. My children are older so we are always up for an adventure. Must-Haves for Family Travel Road Trips

December 21, 2013 by Maria

Before and after Christmas I try to stock up on items that I can be useful to me throughout the year. Huge savings occurs at this time in order to make way for new 2014 products. Although I save my Amazon Gift Cards to purchase Christmas presents, I also try to stash a few E-Gift Cards for my after holiday shopping spree. Normally the holidays have emptied my pockets so shopping is slim but I have complied a list of Must-Haves for family travel road trips. These are affiliate links and Amazon is Continue Reading

Smokey Mountain Area Attractions: Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies #BayouTravel

December 19, 2013 by Maria

Since we travel to The Great Smoky Mountains every November my family and I try to alternate between different Smoky Mountain attractions and family activities every few years. This year we visited Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies again. We visited the aquarium in the past but haven't experienced it in at least 3-4 years. I can't believe how new and exciting the aquarium was for us. New live shows and exhibits like the Dinosaurs – When Giants Ruled! showcases some of the most amazing extinct Continue Reading

When I travel I always have one thing on my mind: FAMILY. I wish I could travel alone or with just my husband but with our busy work week, kids activities, local organizations and my blog I have to make time for my children especially when traveling. Carnival Cruise Lines has taken care of the key element to traveling when they created Carnival Cruise Sunshine. Part of the 155 Million Dollar renovation features fun zones like Waterworks and SportsSquare which is located on the aft of the cruise Continue Reading

Carnival Cruise #SunshineNOLA Spotlight

December 16, 2013 by Maria

In November I had the opportunity to attend a press event for Carnival Cruise Lines in New Orleans. I enjoyed the last event I attended so I jumped at another opportunity to learn more about the new fun ship. The event was an overnight pier side cocktail to commemorate Carnival Sunshine, the largest transformation in Carnival history. The Sunshine can carry 3,002 passengers, will replace the Conquest, which could carry 2,984 passengers. The Sunshine will leave New Orleans in April and head to Continue Reading

December 12, 2013 by Maria

Every year we visit The Great Smoky Mountains National Park in East Tennessee so our family is no stranger to the area. A year doesn't go by that my children don't ask to stay at the Wilderness at the Smokies Resort in Sevierville, Tennessee. This November my children got their wish as we arrived to the Smoky Mountain area for our annual Sinclair Thanksgiving in the Smokies family vacation. We had a busy itinerary this year in the Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg that we thought staying 2 nights at Continue Reading

Elf on the Shelf Smoky Mountain Series

November 30, 2013 by Maria

I know it's strange but we recently took our Elf on the Shelf on our Tennessee Smoky Mountain Vacation. My children are getting older and since they are fully aware of the true meaning of Christmas (and about Santa) I thought this would be a fun way to keep the spirit alive. Having older children (1 teen & 1 tween) I know how hard it is to keep the kids entertained while on vacation. What better way to travel than with our family's Elf on the Shelf. Read along and enjoy the Smoky Mountain Continue Reading
