Blue beach slippers on sandy beach, summer, bathing

I know many of you are thinking the beach is for May-July but in actuality, some of my favorite beach experiences have been in the Fall. If you haven’t had the opportunity to take the family on a beach getaway this summer, fall is your time to sun shine. The weather is perfect and if you are in the Gulf Coast area, the water is still warm!

I’m in beach travel mode! Next month I’ll be traveling to Destin, Florida for a weekend getaway at the Emerald Grande at Harborwalk Village with some of my favorite bloggers. It’s been over 2 years since my last stay and I’m counting the days until I can soak my feet in pristine emerald waters in Destin, Florida.

There are tons of water / beach activities in Destin that makes the Emerald Grande a versatile option for beach travel. With resort options like private balconies, spacious floor plans and daily maid service, you’ll understand why so many flock to Emerald Grande year after year. Resort amenities include waterfront views, European Spa & Fitness Center and indoor/outdoor pools and jacuzzis which will make your family extremely happy! All of this, plus your just steps away from dozens of dining and entertainment options.

This is such a great way to keep busy at the beach. Even though there is so much at the beach it can sometimes get boring for little kids. This is great.

How fun! This is something I wish I had done with my girls while they were younger. Printing it now, to do with our granddaughters the next time we’re at the beach.

A beach scavenger hunt would be so much fun for the kids as well as us big kids. I haven’t been to the beach in years but the last time we went we enjoyed building sand castles.

since we don’t live near a beach, we love to just play on the sand building sand castles and playing in the water with the waves, and swimming. My kiddos love beach vacations, have a great time!
