Being a good neighbor is more than picking up the newspaper or mail while your next door neighbor is away. It’s about community. Coming together to help those when they need you the most. Since State Farm is a “good neighbor” you shouldn’t have to ask for help. State Farm is actively looking to help your community. State Farm Neighborhood Assist campaign begins March 3rd. If you have an important organization in your community State Farm wants to help them. State Farm® invites individuals to submit a special causes to assist your neighborhood. From March 3 through March 23, people can submit a cause for a chance to win one of 40 $25,000 State Farm Neighborhood Assist™ grants.
The State Farm Neighborhood Assist Program is a philanthropic program that empowers people to identify the issues they feel are the most important in their communities. The youth-led program connects State Farm with a local nonprofit that can help solve the local community problem and provides an opportunity to receive one of 40 $25,000 grants. Kids can make a huge impact in our communities!
How can you get involved?
Starting March 3rd, you are invited to submit causes in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook app. A 4,000 cause submissions are allowed. Once submissions are finalized, the State Farm Youth Advisory Board will review all submissions and identify the top 200 based on a scoring rubric. Top 200 causes will be announced on April 28. anyone with a Facebook account can vote via Facebook App. You can vote for your favorite cause up to 10 votes per day!
Voting will continue until May 16th. The top 40 vote receiving causes will be announced May 27th & each will receive $25,000. $25,000 can make a huge impact in your community. The first 4,000 submissions will be accepted and available to U.S and Canada.
