Between school, work, after school activities, Holidays and so much more I’m wore out! There is never hours in the day to get things done. So I know what your thinking? It’s November and we can use some rest & relaxation right about now. My bags are packs and I’m definitely ready to sail away and forget about my problems on the mainland!
Although I’m traveling next week to spend Thanksgiving Week in the beautiful Smoky Mountains, the drive can definitely take it’s toll on a family. Sometimes I think “Why drive 12 hours to your favorite resort? When I can pack, drive 35 minutes to my nearest port in New Orleans and set sail!” Interested? I know I am.
Carnival Cruise Lines is the #1 Cruise Lines in New Orleans with 2 ships that are based there year around. Carnival Conquest is the newest recipient of a $500 million “Fun Ship 2.0” enhancement program. I recently tours the new upgrades in the Carnival Cruise Ship-Conquest and I can tell you it is absolutely amazing! From The EA SPORTS Bar, where guests can play their favorite games and watch live sports on a huge video monitor wall to Hasbro, The Game Show incorporating life-size versions of Hasbro games like Sorry, Simon Says, Operation and Monopoly. It’s the perfect place to spend time with the family or just go away for a few days with your loved one.
One selling point for me is the Carnival offers the cruise industry’s top-rated children’s programs — Camp Carnival, for kids ages 2 to 11, Circle “C,” catering to the 12- to 14-year-old set, and Club O2, geared toward 15- to 17-year-olds – with supervised activities and dedicated staff for each group. Camp Carnival is FREE, that’s right FREE! You can sign your children in and out for a few hours which gives you plenty of time to take in some spa time or visit RedFrog Rum Bar, offering an authentic Caribbean vibe and serves frozen drinks and beers, and sit poolside to catch a few hours of relaxation by the pool.
Disclosure: I was apart of a media group invited to tour the Carnival Cruise Conquest. I was provided with complimentary items. All opinions are my own & can not be influenced in any way.
Looks like fun, they do these in NYC too, but I’ve never been invited! I’d love to be on a white sandy beach right about now!
Looks like such a great time-i love how family friendly it is!
I can hear that cruise ship calling my name! This looks like so much FUN, I want to go on a cruise I just need ton convince my husband.
This is something my husband has always wanted to do – looks like fun!
we love to go on cruises!! we have sailed out of Galveston once a year for the past 7 years. sadly, we may miss this year because we are trying to pay off our house and work was slow for my husband this year but cruises are the most fabulous way to get away from it all! the shows are fabulous and the food is great (plus there is no cooking and cleaning or making the bed!) i find that if you cruise in off peak (when the kids are in school) you can cruise for about $70 a day per person plus tax/tips/grutities. you can’t beat that for a few days of being pampered!!
would love to take a cruise
I just love the way your man looks w/ that gun, he’s having fun!! and that cool put-put course!! too neat!! looks like fun =)
Love it! We are heading out on a Fun Ship very soon! Can’t wait!
You are going to the Smoky Mountains next week? Oooh, I am jealous! Have fun!
